In that scan, the EST Scanner identified one potential threat and quarantined it. Today morning, I ran the scan and I was able to finally complete the scan after almost seven hours and it turned up zero viruses or unwanted applications.   7. Hi, I've been using this laptop for almost over a decade but I've had a few problems that have been majorly affecting my usage of the laptop. Overheating which leads to the computer instantly turning itself off while I'm using it. This wasn't a problem until the past few days. It's been working fine but something has caused this problem and I believe it to be malware.   8. I see. My problem remains the same, with certain keyboard keys only sporadically working and now my computer shuts down randomly during normal use. If it was a hardware problem, you'd expect the keyboard to completely stop working but this isn't the case. I do think there's a software problem that's causing this but I can't be sure since none of the anitviruses or antimalware tools I've used seem to find anything.   12. No change. It briefly worked but then stopped working again. Honestly at this point, I just want to get it back to how it used be, even if I can't get it completely fixed. Is there anything else to do ? Or are we running out of options ?

  14. So I used the Administrator account. There were no major changes to the system. Keyboard was non-functional in that account as well
