  1. Hi Kevin. Sorry about all the trouble. I realized the problem had to be my old laptop I no longer use. Whenever I reset my chrome sync and keep it unsynced, I don't see anymore pups. Even though I reset my chrome sync on my old laptop, the problem still persisted. I ended up completely resetting my old laptop just to be sure whatever was on it is gone. Though I lost all of my passwords, I am no longer scanning pups, even with my current laptop synced. I guess the problem lied in the chrome downloaded on my old laptop. Thanks for all the help up until this point.
  2. It scanned another one unfortunately. I'm not sure if this means anything, but the pup is always found in the file system in the last part of the scan.
  3. yes, I actually just deleted it. But my malwarebytes just scanned another pup.optional.winyahoo right before I did the rogue killer scan. is it possible that honey could've been causing the virus to keep downloading onto my laptop?

  5. Hi Kevin. Unfortunately, I've already tried this twice and it didn't help.
  6. Hello, I was directed here after having problems scanning pup.option.winyahoo in every single scan. I scan around 9-11 in every scan. Here are the logs from malwarebytes, frst, and the additional log. Any help is appreciated. mb logs.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  7. I tried this on my main laptop and my other one which I stopped using regularly. I'm unfortunately still scanning about 9-11 pups each scan.
  8. I just tried this, I will wait until the next scan to update you on if this works. Thank you!
  9. Recently, my brand new laptop completely slowed down and the only thing malwarebytes detected was pup.optional.winyahoo. No matter how many times I quarantined it, my computer was still too slow and I couldn't do anything on it. So, I had to reset it completely. My laptop went back to a functioning speed, but because I was worried the issue would happen again, I bought a membership with Malwarebytes. Now, every single scan scans pup.optional.winyahoo. At one point, I had like 90 of them quarantined. It scans about 9-10 every single scan. Yes, malwarebytes is completely updated. I've run adwcleaner too, and it found nothing but preinstalled programs. I'm not sure where it's coming from since I use the same websites and games I always have. Any help is appreciated!!
