@AdvancedSetup Sorry it took so long. I decided to try a repair install before clean installation and it seems like it worked. Windows updated itself and right now it shows that there are no new updates. To install one update I had to click on "Install" which I found weird because usually everything installs automatically after it downloads. But either way seems like there is no more problems with updates. Also: after the repair install I didn't have to turn on the protection as it was already turned on after the installation. Does it look like everything is good now? Should I do something more (logs, setupdiag etc.)? Or maybe a clean installation? I'd also like to ask about one thing: In services there are 2 services connected to Windows Defender. One isn't turned on. Should I change it? The one that is turned off means "Advanced protection from threats in Windows Defender service".

@AdvancedSetup Thank You! So till the format I can use the computer without worries (logging to programs, games etc.) and then after the format everything should be good? The options I wanted to ask about are in screenshots. I can translate it if it's necessary. Should I set them the same (if they are not automatically) after the format? About the drivers: when I was doing the clean installation a month ago (I made topic on this forum as well) it downloaded every drivers automatically (and the one driver that didn't install was sent by You in the other topic and Nvidia as I was recommended to use nvidia cleaner and install their programs/drivers manually). So I shouldn't need any backups of drivers, right? I will write when the format is done or when there are other imporant questions then.

I'll do as You suggest. If the clean installation is the most recommended option then I'll do it, I want the PC to be safe and working good. But what about that BITS? Should it be stopped? And there shouldn't be problem with the msconfig, right? As I turned it to the state it was before I accidentaly unckecked one option. I will ask again about some options in Windows (whether they are better turned on or off) a bit later if it's not a problem. It would be helpful after the clean installation if You'll suggest it.

@AdvancedSetup Mhm, so You think that I should do the format? Is it better to do that repair install or a clean installation of Windows? I can use the pendrive that I've used before, right? I accidentaly clicked on the check icon but then I clicked again to revert it to the state it was before I did anything. There shouldn't be any problem then, right? When closing msconfig there was a notification that pc must be rebooted to imply changes (but there is no changes as the option is in the same state it was before). If I'm supposed to do a clean installation then I'll probably do it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Till then I can use the PC, can't I?

@AdvancedSetup The results are down below. So the results of the Windows Update Troubleshooter don't say anything? What should I do now? Is it the time for a repair install? There is also a command "restore health", isn't it? Could it help? Also: Can I use the pc before the issue is solved (if it takes more time)? I mean like playing games, logging in to some services etc. Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19043.1052] (c) Microsoft Corporation. Wszelkie prawa zastrzeżone. That's exactly the problem. The log file is blank and the tool closes itself after a second after running it. It happens every time I try to launch it. I've noticed that some options on the pc are blocked and it says that my organization has to change it (it was like that from the very beginning). However, I'm not a part of any organization (The Windows's version is Education). I've asked Microsoft support about this and they recommended using "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" command if I wanted to change it. Should I try it? Maybe there is a connection between this and the fact that the SetupDiag doesn't work? I tried rebooting the PC. After the reboot a notification showed up saying that Windows's Security Center is turned off, click here to turn it on. I clicked and the notification disappeared. What could have happened? The number of the error in the update is x80070003. Some advice on Microsoft forums said to run a Windows Update Troubleshooter. I will try it while waiting for Your answer. Edit: The troubleshooter has finished its work and there is a notification that it made some changes in the system and I should try to update now. But again, it didn't work, update is still not installed. I'll paste the report. What is "System.Management.Automation.RemoteException"? @AdvancedSetup Thank You for the answer. I'm sending new logs. What about the other question (blackscreen)? I tried installing ESET Online Scanner to scan the PC from time to time (hoping that 3 scanenrs would be better than 2) and it's still "swimming" while moving it's window on the desktop. Could You check if there is everything good with it as well? There are no signs of any malware in the logs, right? FRST.txt Addition.txt Shortcut.txt

I tried installing the second one and the result is exactly the same as when I tried it via Windows Update. After the installation it says that the PC needs to be rebooted and during the reebot there is an information saying: preparing and then "Installation couldn't be completed. Undoing changes. Don't turn off the PC". Then it reboots and the same screen appears. After a while the screen with choosing account and login appears. I tried it twice (the second time after unplugging every USB device other than mouse - a friend's advice) but it didn't work either. What surprised me: after starting the installation the window with the progress bar appeared so I went away for a while and when I came back the screen was black and I had to move the mouse to revert it (I don't think it happened before but maybe it happened because nothing was launched on the PC? Or because the keyboard was unplugged?) It isn't a reason to worry, is it? Edit: I unplugged it once again for a test and with the keyboard and the pad unplugged the screen turns black after a while of inactivity but when they are connected then the screen doesn't turn black. Is this normal? What should I do now? Should I ask microsoft support for help? Or is this not necessary?
