  1. Sorry for the long time without any response. I will do it soon when I have a bit more free time. What about updating BIOS? BTW: can watching streams on discord (someone plays games) be dangerous?
  2. Hi, when I wanted to launch my PC there was a Input not supported on the screen. I tried restarting the pc but it didn't help. Finally, I decided to unplug it from the outlet and after repluging it the pc launched. There was a repair initiated but it said the repair failed. The screen said that restarting the pc might resolve the problem so I chose the option to restart it. Then the PC launched and everything seems fine. I did the sfc /scannow and it said that some files were repaired. There was an entry in the Event Log about the failed Windows repair. Everything works now, so can I assume that everything is good and can ignore the problem if it don't appear again? I'd also like to ask how can I update my BIOS? I heard that it's outdated.
  3. I've found those entries in the Event Log. Is this something that I should be worrying about? Sorry, the text is in Polish. I can provide more translation if needed. The one with the new Provider registered seems more serious, doesn't it? In the Event Log, there are more entries like the one on the screenshot. The providers' names: DMWmiBridgeProv, DMWmiBridgeProv1, DSCCoreProviders, EventTracingManagement, WsmAgent, MINT, AssignedAccess and some others. The other event is about metadata staging failed. My Windows is Windows 10 Education (but I use it as a personal computer, it's not registered in any company). Is this something I should be worried about? Or is it just a normal thing?
  4. Ok, thanks. I currently have a free version.
  5. Hey, I had my PC launched with Malwarebytes in the background and while I came back there was an ad in the lower right corner. It said something about Schooling the hackers and 3 devices protection iirc. Is this a normal thing? I don't remember If I've seen Malwarebytes ads appearing before. I closed the ad by clicking "x" on it.
  6. I think I will keep FRST but if I decide to delete it then I'll use Your advice. Rest of the programs can be just deleted as they didn't install, right? And about the discord. If I want to reinstall it then I should uninstall it from the Control Panel (Add and remove programs) and then install a new one after a pc's reboot?
  7. I don't understant that question about using a translator if everything is good. Sorry for mistakes I've made. So everything looks good? If that's true then I think that's all. Maybe quick questions: 1) what about that discord? Looks like it's updated as more people have the same version as I do 2)what does that advanced protection service? I don't have to turn it on? 3)it that high usage happens again and then decreases then I shouldn't worry, right? Edit: oh and what to do with those programs I downladed?
  8. It should be something like that: Advanced protection from dangers/threats in Windows Defender service. Service Advanced Protection from malware in Windows Defender allows protection from advanced threats by monitoring and raporting security events that are happening on the PC. About the discord I've asked some people about the version and they say they have the same version as I do.
  9. So everything else is good? Discord says it's should be updating to the newest version when it's launching. But I can reinstall it if it helps. Here is the screenshot.
  10. @AdvancedSetup When I was observing it it was increasing and decreasing (sometimes 100% and sometimes 3-6%). Most time I checked was soon after launching the pc. So how does it look like overall? If I understand it correctly then everything seems to be good and I can use the pc without worrying. Is it right? I also asked about that Advanced protection Windows Defender service that is turned off. Is it connected to some information that user can choose to share or not to share? The PC is protected now isn't it? The data gathered by those tools is safe, right? There was that warning about some data like password. There were also some corrupted files but sfc /scannow repaired them. What should I do now? Sorry for so many questions.
  11. Thank You. I'm not sure what should I look for. Maybe the screenshots will be enough. I've found that process (in the last screen, it is highlighted by a mouse click). I've seen another process with the same name appearing for a while (red color).
  12. @AdvancedSetup After changing the options it asked me if i want to make a scan. I pressed f5 too. I had to accept virustotal's privacy and policy and there was something about gathering data such as password. Nothing bad will happen, right? Screenshot presents the other tool (for a second one of the processes close to COM Surrogate was orange/red but it disappeared/changed color). Can I dalete those programs now? How should I do it? autoruns.zip
  13. Which one should I use? What does that sysinternals autoruns if there is a virustotal option there?
  14. Thank for Your help as always. Here are the logs (a few seconds after starting the FRST scan Malwarebytes started its automatic scan. I hope it isn't a problem. Sorry for being paranoic but one of virustotal scanners detects something in that Process Explorer (screenshot) and there is one community comment saying "fake process explorer"? (I put the zip folder to the virustotal). I know it should be safe if You recommend it but I just wanted to be sure. FRST.txt Addition.txt Shortcut.txt
  15. Today it also showed 100% of disc usage for some time. Now it went down. I did sfc /scannow and this is the result:
  16. Yes, it looks like in Yours. So it should be good, right? Does it mean that I don't have to do anything more with that? If You had some time to spare, could You please take a look at this?
  17. There was some delay at displaying information when first launched (the window was blank at first) but when everything appeared I pasted the command.
  18. Hey, I wanted to run GeForce Experience to update my driver but there was a problem and it was launching for a long time. I checked task manager and found that the disc usage was at 100%. Rebooting the PC didn't change anything. I tried running the windows tool to check the disc and when it was working I checked the task manager again. This time there was also a COM Surrogate process taking 2GB of memory. There was also a problem when launching GeForce Experience (it said to try rebooting the pc). After some time the disc usage returned to 0-6% and COM surrogate stopped taking so much of memory, also GeForce experience worked without problems. The tool that checked the disc didn't find anything wrong. I ran malwarebytes and windows defender scan and they found nothing. When I launched the PC again after the usage went down (rebooted it after the driver installation) the disc usage was around 30% a few seconds after the pc was launched and then it went back to normal. A moment later it was again 100% (MB was doing a quick scan) and went down again after it ended. Is it possible that MB caused this high usage? Sometimes when I launch the task manager there is a process called "przerwania systemowe" (system interrupts?) and it have a very high usage but it drops to very low in seconds. Do You have any idea what could have happened? Sorry, the language on screenshots is Polish.
  19. Thank You very much! What about this site? https://niezalezna.pl It appered in my news feed and again one scanner finds it as malicious.
  20. Hey guys, I want to ask something: A friend sent an image on a discord server and for some reason I thought that I'll check it on virustotal. I don't suspect him and it's one of 89 scanners so it's probably a fake alarm (some scanners detect google as malicious/malware too) but still. What does it look like? https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/211845309016309760/865984191446122516/image010.png
  21. So there is no malware, thanks. Are there any more Windows problems? What about the service of advanced protection I mentioned earlier? Could You take a look at it? Also sometimes a few seconds after the PC is launched there is a pop-up notification saying "Turn on windows security center" but it disappears after a seconds or two. Windows Security shows that everything is turned on and the pc is protected. Do you maybe know why is this happening?
  22. Thank You @AdvancedSetup I did the clean install to check if it's enough. If problems persist then I'll do the clean installation. Here are the logs FRST.txt Addition.txt Shortcut.txt
