  1. Exactly how will you be compensating users for demonstrable financial loss incurred as a direct result of this debacle?
  2. https://cybernews.com/best-antivirus-software/malwarebytes-alternatives/ think it's time to ditch MB
  3. On the phone now to O2 to let them know what's happened and to check I can go onto unlimited data & switch back to less costly tariff when this MB thing is fixed.
  4. so far as I can tell, my data surge started around 2am & have no idea when it stopped or even if it's stopped, O2 cut me off at 05.20.
  5. Yes, forgot to mention my battery also drained overnight. Now while waiting for answers/solutions/compensation from MB I have to decide if MB should be switched off to prevent further financial loss plus possible damage to battery before I shell out more money for additional data allowance from my provider and explain to my provider what has happened so they don't blacklist me for using my phone for nefarious purposes. I'm in the UK, this happened at night while asleep so had no chance to see any sudden surge in data consumption.
  6. Well, overnight MB used 113Gb on my Pixel. My provider has cut me off. Seriously unhappy.
  7. At first I was only seeing this issue while using Firefox so switched to using Brave but if I visit a Malwarebytes page even in Brave I get the malware alerts.
  8. Yes, plain text log. Standard stuff. Whitelisted. I will alert the cloud company that MW doesn't like their log files.
  9. exactly which is very silly no, as I said, it is a plain language log file of sensitive details
  10. Windows machine harmless log of sync activity with one of the most secure cloud providers - text only not attaching as it has plain language details of my sync activity MW got spooked by it despite it being there for 11 days (the logs get archived and renamed .1, .2 etc) offending filename is user/appdata/local/sync.logs/sync-refresh.log
