MalwareBytes preventing Valorant launch

Fyi - I scanned with MalwareBytes before I uninstalled it and it showed no threats at all. I also have nothing in the "allow" section. -
Recently installed MalwareBytes and bought Premium and after this I couldn't open Valorant - it would give me the error message "We couldn't connect to the server. Please check your internet and VPN settings". Long story short, I uninstalled MalwareBytes and Valorant launched normally right after. Obviously I don't want to just have one or the other, anyone know any fixes that means I can keep both Valorant and MalwareBytes?
