MBAM is not starting up at startup, even though it's supposed to. in msconfig it's saying it is starting up, and so is ticked in the software 'start with windows' but no icon in taskbar BUT the mbam.exe is running!

thanks for your reply though, ive been a big fan of Avira over the years still a top notch piece of software, will install it later. Just seeing what this AV is like.

Cheers cats, I guess I'll go for Avira Personal too. I thought with the Anti-Malware, it would be good as a replacement for an Antivirus What type of software is it? Does it remove a bit of everything?

Hi, was wondering is it possible to add some IPs to a whitelist, some sites I visit (which are perfectly safe) it blocks me going on them, so I was wondering how can I 'ignore' the IP or something, so that it stops this. Thank you.

In my opinion, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is the best software out, at this moment in time in regards to removal of malware. Im using this just on its own, the paid for version and would like to thank all the team and community for vreating such a brilliant piece of software. Yesterday, having gotten infected by a nasty trojan which kept redirecting me from websites to another website, I knew I was infected. My initial reaction was, Avira but I thought nah, let's have a go with Malwarebytes AM. Ran it, removed everything, everything fixed. Purchased program, not turning back so far
