  1. Looks like it's all good to go! Just along with my question earlier: Could you give me some tips on avoiding installing anything malicious in the future? I am involved in communities where files and things along those lines can easily have installed something like this (which it has). Would you recommend using a very cheap VPS to run programs before using them on my PC? Thank you so much for your time and help by the way.
  2. In regards to the MalwareBytes log file, I have quarantined it since that log. (Attached) I also can't seem to get AdwCleaner running, tried running as admin, running from somewhere else, as well as mbar rootkit scanning program as i saw that as a suggestion for it not opening but still no luck. FRST logs attached though MalwareBytesLog1.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  3. I removed CCleaner and Avast and will cease using them in the future, thank you for that information. I was also unaware of ShortcutTarget: EmEditor.lnk -> C:\Users\prett\AppData\Local\Programs\EmEditor\emedtray.exe (Emurasoft, Inc. -> Emurasoft, Inc.) Startup: C:\Users\prett\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Home_tools.lnk [2020-03-05] ShortcutAndArgument: Home_tools.lnk -> C:\Windows\system32\wscript.exe => /E:jscript "C:\Users\prett\AppData\Roaming\Home_tools" Being in my startup and have no idea what home_tools is, but i removed all files you mentioned about it (minus the wscript.exe). I tried finding home_tools in any software removal part of windows or anywhere else as a program but failed to do so, but this was there which I am unaware of installing or what it does: (Just looked and it's no longer there I think it may have been the wscript running the home_tools which was related to something bad. The problem seems to be resolved though, so thank you so much for that! I have attached the results below. If you don't see anything wrong left, could you give me some tips on avoiding installing anything malicious in the future? I am involved in communities where files and things along those lines can easily have installed something like this (which it has). Would you recommend using a very cheap VPS to run programs before using them on my PC? Fixlog.txt
