Problems installing Malwarebytes v 4 Computer runs on Windows 8.1. First I had installed Avira, Adwcleaner and Malwarebytes 3.8.3. The programs ran ok. Further steps afterwards: Installation (multiple) oft the displayed new Version of Malwarebytes --Message: Installation error Suspected conflict between Avira and Malwarebytes v 4. Uninstalled Avira and activated Windows Defender. Another attempt to install of Malwarebytes v 4---same error message as in 1.) Uninstall Malwarebytes 3.8.3 to install Malwarebytes v 4 clean again. These attemps also failed (same error message as in 1.) Attemps with settings on Defender: Deactivating real-time protection and excluding the folders C:\Program Data\Malwarebytes and C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes also did not lead to success when installing Malwarebytes v 4 (error as with 1.)).
