  1. Hi, and thank you, that's good to know. The salesperson I originally bought this through told me (via email which I still have) that I could run it on a server but that it wouldn't be supported if it caused problems or didn't run correctly. Thanks for letting me know. I'll remove it. I appreciate the information. Dan
  2. Hi, and thank you. It's a client's computer and they clicked a link that wasn't from the cuteftp website so while waiting I did load clam on it for a secondary check while I waited and it reported some kind of trojan but it scrolled by too quickly for me to see what it was and it's a very slow scanner. Been running 30 hours for 130gb drive so I won't be able to see results until it eventually finished. Thank you very much for the reply. I did read some of your previous posts on this but because it' came from and unknown website and they reported slowness after installing, I'm a little more concerned about it.
  3. Thank you very much. I am running Clam on it as a secondary check and it reported some type of trojan in the same file but it scrolled by before I could see it and I won't be able to see those results until it finishes...and it's really slow. Been 30 hours already and only 130gb on this server. The log doesn't contain data until completion so can't see it in there either.
  4. Trying to determine if this CuteWriter v3.1 is a problem or not. Malwarebytes detects it as "Generic.Malware/Suspicious" but Defender and ESET do not detect anything. Looking back this was installed just hours before the client reported that their primary application was running much slower than before so that raises my concerns. I'm concerned that it may have installed something not detected. Hopefully it's a false positive but the date they downloaded and installed it was June 18 2021. This file was not available on the Cutepdf website at that time so it would have been downloaded from a 3rd party website. CuteWriter Version 4.x from cutepdf website scans as clean. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and if it's positive, what is recommended next since Scans of the system don't show any issues. Included the malwarebytes results report and the Cutewriter executable files. Version: 4.4.4.126 Components Version: 1.0.1404 Update Package Version: 1.0.43768 License: Premium Thank you, Dan CuteWriter.zip malwarebytes Report CuteWriter Ver 3.1.zip
