I downloaded the Grammarly latest update and applied it manually. Malwarebytes then behaved normally. It appears to be a problem between Grammarly updates with their Word app and Malwarebytes. MS Office does not recognize the Grammarly for Word app either - so something is amiss between these apps. At any rate, I can now open my Word documents without Malwarebytes thinking there is an eploit to block.

I am having exactly the same issue. Looks like this was also a problem back in 2016 with Grammarly and Malwarebytes.
