  1. adwcleaner identifies ixquick.com in Firefox, twice, but is unable to remove it. adwcleaner successfully removed ixquick.com from Chrome. Firefox bookmarks deleted where ixquick.com was in bookmark links. malewarebytes will not throw a hit on ixquick, but adwcleaner will. I've run through the pre-steps in https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/9573-im-infected-what-do-i-do-now/ for malewarebytes. I've attached those files (FRST.txt, addition.txt and malwarebytes scan.txt) I've attached logs for Adwcleaner run as well. malwarebytes scan.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt AdwCleaner[S00].txt AdwCleaner[C00].txt
  2. I'm not working the same issue on two different forums! I'm asking a legitimate question on this forum whose answer will be inserted into a ticket that is in process on a Firefox forum for a totally different issue. My Firefox forum question is asking how to get rid of ixquick.com, identified by a Malewarebytes run yesterday, scanned using a database from 2017, where there were two hits. Malewarebytes was not able to remove it. The Firefox forum analyst is asking where I think ixquick.com is located. I have no idea - it was Malewarebytes that identified it. Thus my request to you: "In what areas of Firefox should I go looking for ixquick.com?" Thanks,
  3. I will be able to execute on that when I have a bit more time - in about 8 hours. In the meantime, my first run of Malwarebytes was using a database from 2017. It found ixquick.com in Chrome, which was successfully removed, and in Firefox (2 cases there), but it could not remove it from Firefox. Can you tell me where I could find out where it found it in Firefox? My open ticket with them is asking me this. Thanks.
  4. Per your request, here are the logs. One thing I forgot to add in the original post: One forum post suggested I ensure Windows Management Instrumentation is set to automatic. It already was, prior to receiving the error. Thanks, mbst-grab-results.zip
  5. Had a version of Malewarebytes from 2017. Program requested I update it. Running it, I get, "unable to connect to Service"
