  1. Running fine, but that doesn't mean much, as I didn't notice any behavior problems before, either. Thank you very, very much for your help with this. I didn't know what I would do, when the antivirii came up clean despite the clear danger. Ben
  2. Still detecting it. AdwCleaner[S04].txt AdwCleaner[C04].txt
  3. As instructed, The AdWare program found 20 files. After deleting and restarting, found 1 again, a PUP.legacy.old file, which persistently comes back.Seems to be related to AVG safesearch. FRST found nothing, Malwarebytes found nothing. FRST.txt MWB_log.txt AdwCleaner[C00].txt Addition.txt
  4. Aside, I uninstalled BitTorrent, and Java is used for Minecraft.
  5. Thank you. I have run FRST64, and it restarted my system. The fixlog is attached. Ben Fixlog.txt
  6. I received an email from a trusted source with a .doc file attached. It quickly tricked me into opening it on my desktop, enabling editing and then content. I quickly realized I had probably infected myself, and ran Malwarebytes threat scan, Windows Defender deep and offline scan, and neither were able to locate any invader. During the first Windows Defender scan, my desktop behaved strangely, with background programs flickering and the Start bar disappearing. This behavior was not observed on restart, as part of Windows Defender's offline scan. Now, I am following the steps listed looking for assistance. I have attached the log files from Malwarebytes, and the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, and the document which I suspect is contaminated. Please help.
