  1. XP pro sp3. avast! home and Online Armor. I added the mbam.exe exclusion but won't be able to see if that fixes it as I re-installed MB.
  2. I had already excluded the path (C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\*) from my AV.
  3. Every time I update the program using the updater (not the definitions) I get a new runtime error and have to clean install. Or, like this time, MB seems to be working (icon in the system tray) yet when I try and scan a folder/file or open the GUI there is ANOTHER runtime error. This time it's... What is the point of an anti-malware that is so unreliable?

On updating to 1.42 (free) an error on reboot listed is-EH3C4.exe I found 3 files in the WINDOWS folder is-EH3C4.exe is-EH3C4.lst is-EH3C4.msg I opened the is-EH3C4.lst file with an hex editor and saw this... ; This file was created by the installer for: ; Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware ; Location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam-setup.exe ; List of files to be registered on the next reboot. DO NOT EDIT! [sq]C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ssubtmr6.dll [sq]C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\vbalsgrid6.ocx What are these files doing, please?
