Hi. Sorry for the lack of replies, I've written 2 and sent them but clearly they haven't gone through.I ran MBAR but many other antivirus/antimalware software was still being blocked from installing. I tried the listed solution but it didn't resolve the issue so I did a fresh install of windows and haven't had any related issues since. I did attempt to send the logs after running MBAR but like I said before, they must have not gone through.

Update: I've installed through chameleon but it's not finding anything. The high CPU usage has gone but I still can't run many other anti-malware/virus software such as Hitman Pro or Avast. I disabled UAC but this still occurs.

I've rebooted and now I can run the setup but the setup fails for probably unrelated issues. I ran the installer as admin but it still says it doesn't have permission

Thanks, that download worked. It seems that I somehow got some bitcoin mining malware. That'd explain the high CPU usage from the antimalware executeable. It's still whirring away but it seems that this'll have solved it, thanks 😊 I'll keep you posted.

When trying to install Malwarebytes or run mbar (Malwarebytes Anti-rootkit), I get an error: "This app has been blocked for your protection. An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information, contact the administrator" I'm the only account/admin.
