I rescanned with MB and Adwcleaner and it found nothing. I will keep an eye out and see if it returns.

I think I solved it already. Came across this post after some searching. This worked as far as I am aware, I no longer get the PUP threads. I think the issue was due to the SYNC with google. After scanning and removing the SYNC automatically fixed the files it deleted. I noticed there was a mail.ru search engine which was likely to be the issue.

Hi, Yesterday I made a mistake and misclicked. I now got this Mail.ru PUP constantly popping up, even when I remove it with malwarebytes. However, it keeps coming back and I don't know how to remove it. I hope there's some one that can help me to remove it.
