When browsing in Chrome through the news feeds from MSN home page tab, screen turns red with error triangle stating Google Chrome Critical Error! With a message about how the security system has detected a threat to your date and you should contact Microsoft Support immediately. You are not able to close the tab containing this message.
From my research this is caused by a P.U.P. getting in through the news feeds.
How is this getting through Malwarebytes? I have my web browsing security on. Is there something else I need to do? When I run a scan in maywarebytes and Kaspersky no threats are detected on my computer, so it seems like it is just impacting the browser.
This has happened twice this week.
