  1. Thanks for the report above. If at all possible, I would like a special report collection. It does not make any changes. Please follow the tips carefully. Please download MBST Support Tool Once you start it click Advanced > >> then Gather Logs Upload an archive once it is done. Attach the mbst-grab-results.zip from the Desktop. Please attach mbst-grab-results.zip to your reply * Suggest you see "How to Cleanup and Reset Network Adapters in Windows 10" https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/47937-reset-network-adapters-windows-10-a.html * You may possibly consider looking at this Youtube how-to video about network help https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P4PmPUKYgp4 And this next link to Microsoft for Network troubleshooting https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-network-connection-issues-in-windows-166a28c4-14c1-bdb1-473c-09c1571455d8
  2. I have reviewed the Safety Scanner log. It reports There is no basis to think that that is off-base. Plus the MAPS reporting is for the Microsoft database collection. When your machine has a third-party antivirus ( such as Avast ) Avast sets that feature to off on the Defender. That is to say, reporting up to Microsoft does not matter. It has no bearing on the machine itself. Further, the intermnediate displays during the scan can be mis-leading. All that counts is the bottom line result. ( other people have seen similar & also got mis-impression). In any event, we can run 1 or 2 other different scanners just as a follow up. . I would suggest a free scan with the ESET Online Scanner. This will be another check for viruses, other malware, adwares, & potentially unwanted applications. Go to https://download.eset.com/com/eset/tools/online_scanner/latest/esetonlinescanner.exe It will start a download of "esetonlinescanner.exe" Save the file to your system, such as the Downloads folder, or else to the Desktop. Go to the saved file, and double click it to get it started. When presented with the initial ESET options, click on "Computer Scan". Next, when prompted by Windows, allow it to start by clicking Yes When prompted for scan type, Click on Full scan Look at & tick ( select ) the radio selection "Enable ESET to detect and quarantine potentially unwanted applications" and click on Start scan button. Have patience. The entire process may take an hour or more. There is an initial update download. There is a progress window display. You may step away from machine &. Let it be. You should ignore all prompts to get the ESET antivirus software program. ( e.g. their standard program). You do not need to buy or get or install anything else. When the scan is completed, if something was found, it will show a screen with the number of detected items. If so, click the button marked “View detected results”. Click The blue “Save scan log” to save the log. If something was removed and you know it is a false finding, you may click on the blue ”Restore cleaned files” ( in blue, at bottom). Press Continue when all done. You should click to off the offer for “periodic scanning”. Please make sure you attach the log report.
  3. Thank you. That report result is perfect. 😎 😃 You can start this task here & then after it is started, you should go get a good long break. Just let the computer run this over-night, as needed. The Microsoft Safety Scanner is a free Microsoft stand-alone virus scanner that can be used to scan for & remove malware or potentially unwanted software from a system. The download links & the how-to-run-the tool are at this link at Microsoft https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/intelligence/safety-scanner-download Look on Scan Options & select FULL scan. Then start the scan. Have lots of patience. It may take several hours. Let me know the result of this. This is likely to run for many hours ( depending on number of files on your machine & the speed of hardware.) The log is named MSERT.log the log will be at C:\Windows\debug\msert.log Please attach that log with your reply.
  4. Hello. The main goal was to actually do one run of Adwcleaner. By the way, I do not see any attachment on last reply. But in any event, you report there were nothing tagged. Do one Windows Restart. Then once it settles back down, tell me, How is situation as far internet connection ? Is the pc connected directly via cable cord to the router ? or is it using a Wifi connection ?
  5. Hello By any chance & if necessary, Do you have access to another machine to do downloads & then to transfer by means of a USB-flash-thumb drive ? Let me know. First suggestion follows. Let's do one scan with Malwarebytes Adwcleaner to check for adwares. Just before pressing that "scan" button, be sure that Chrome & Edge, or other web browser are Closed. It will not take much time, First download & save it https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038520054-Download-and-install-Malwarebytes-AdwCleaner Then be sure to close all web browsers. Then go to where the EXE file is saved. Start Adwcleaner. Then do a scan with Adwcleaner https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038520114-Malwarebytes-AdwCleaner-scan-and-clean Attach the clean log.
  6. That is good. Thank you. Now do a new scan with Malwarebytes for Windows. Advise me of the result. Locate the Scan run report; export out a copy; & then attach in with your reply. See https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038479194-View-Reports-and-History-in-Malwarebytes-for-Windows-v4
  7. Thank you for the log. I am sending here a new script to do the remaining tasks for that run. Very surprised this last run went past 60 minutes & so was auto-terminated. This run should be much much less time. 1. Please first RESTART Windows. 2. I need for you to Delete the old file named Fixlist.txt on the Downloads folder. 3. We will use FRSTENGLISH.exe on Downloads folder to run a custom script. The system will be rebooted after the script has run. This custom script is for HGDC84 only / for this machine only. This custom script has some specific things, plus some general aspect to help the system overall. NOTE-1: This script will run the last remaining parts. Please be sure to Close any open work files, documents, any apps you started yourself before starting this. Please save the (attached file named) FIXLIST.txt to the Downloads folder Fixlist.txt Start the Windows Explorer and then, to the Downloads folder. RIGHT click on FRSTENGLISH.exe and select RUN as Administrator and allow it to proceed. Reply YES when prompted to allow to run. to run the tool. If the tool warns you the version is outdated, please download and run the updated version. IF Windows prompts you about running this, select YES to allow it to proceed. IF you get a block message from Windows about this tool...... click line More info information on that screen and click button Run anyway on next screen. on the FRST window: Click the Fix button just once, and wait. PLEASE have lots and lots of patience when this starts. You will see a green progress bar start. If you receive a message that a reboot is required, please make sure you allow it to restart normally. The tool will complete its run after restart. When finished, the tool will make a log ( Fixlog.txt) in the same location from where it was run. Please attach the FIXLOG.txt with your next reply later, at your next opportunity We will do more after this. Persistence & patience are called for here. Stick with me because there will be more to do on Saturday. Get your good nights rest.

  9. DDS is a good report tool. We will not be needing it. Please check with me first before you do something on your own. Go ahead and just delete the download file you have "Zonealarm Uninstall tool". We can manage without it. . Here below is a custom run intended to help this Windows machine. Please take time to read carefully & apply all directions below. If you have a question, stop and ask me first. [ 1 ] As a next basic step, Please set File Explorer to SHOW ALL folders, all files, including Hidden ones. Use OPTION ONE or TWO of this article https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/7078-turn-off-show-all-folders-windows-10-navigation-pane.html [ 2 ] We will use FRSTENGLISH.exe on Downloads folder to run a custom script. 10. By the way, Are you running tools on your own ? or getting help somewhere else? as I review the new reports, I see prsence of DDS tool.
  11. Yaay ! That is great. Thanks. 12. Hello. Good morning. Thanks for the report set. That is so very helpful. Windows 10 comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Defender antivirus. Here, on this machine, I notice it has TWO (2) add-on third-party antivirus programs. There is AVAST. Plus it also has the ZoneAlarm firewall with the ZoneAlarm antivirus. Having Avast plus ZoneAlarm is a significant factor here that leads to quirks and potential conflicts. There needs to be a decision as to which of the 2 to keep and then which of the 2 to uninstall. IF decision is made to keep Avast, then a Uninstall of all of the Zone Alarm programs must be done. ( and if you only want Microsoft Defender then be sure to let me know). If you keep Avast, then 1. Press & hold the Windows key on keyboard & then tap the R key to open the Run box-windoww. 2. Type appwiz.cpl and tap Enter. 3. The Programs and Features window will appear. Locate on the list "ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware". Do a right-click on it. Then choose Uninstall. Let it proceed. Then look for "ZoneAlarm Firewall". Uninstall if found. Then look for "ZoneAlarm Antivirus". Uninstall if found. Exit Programs and Features. 4, NEXT, whatever the case or result, need for you to get and save, and then run the ZoneAlarm UNINSTALL tool. A general purpose uninstaller for ZoneAlarm. First get and save from this link at Bleepingcomputer https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/zonealarm-uninstall-tool/ Click the green-color Download Now button. Save the file. Then run the tool. When all completed, then Restart Windows.
  13. Good morning. Hello @Eddy68 I would like to check in with you. Have you run the SecurityCheck tool ? Have you installed the Malwarebytes Browser Guard on the web browsers ? How is the situation at this point ?
  14. Thank you for that run report. The next steps I suggest to be done is a Update run for Malwarebytes for Windows, then a new special scan. Start Malwarebytes for Windows. Click Settings. In the General tab, click on "Check for Updates " button. Watch & follow all prompts. Then click the Security tab. Scroll down and lets be sure the line in SCAN OPTIONs for "Scan for rootkits" is ON 👈 Click it to get it ON if it does not show a blue-color . Next, click the small x on the Settings line to go to the main Malwarebytes Window. Next click the blue button marked Scan. When the scan phase is done, be real sure you Review and have all detected lines items check-marked on each line on the left. That too is very critical. >>>>>> 👉 You can actually click the topmost left check-box on the very top line to get ALL lines ticked ( all selected). <<<< 💢 Please double verify you have that TOP check-box tick marked. and that then, all lines have a tick-mark Then click on Quarantine button. Then, locate the Scan run report; export out a copy; & then attach in with your reply. See https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038479194-View-Reports-and-History-in-Malwarebytes-for-Windows-v4
  15. Thank you for the report. I have read the report. It looks as if the run went over 60 minutes in run time and so was then ended because it exceeded the time limit. We need to run the remaining parts of the task. This run will be started in the same way. Except for the new script, attached below. First delete the old file named Fixlist.txt on the DESKTOP We will use FRST64.exe on Desktop folder to run a custom script. The system will be rebooted after the script has run. This custom script is for TatianaBio21 only / for this machine only. Please be sure to Close any open work files, documents, any apps you started yourself before starting this. If there are any CD / DVD / or USB-flash-thumb or USB-storage drives attached, please disconnect any of those. Please save the (attached file named) FIXLIST.txt to the user Desktop folder Fixlist.txt Start the Windows Explorer and then, to the Desktop folder. RIGHT click on FRST64.exe and select RUN as Administrator and allow it to proceed. It does not make any changes. Please follow the tips carefully. Please download MBST Support Tool Once you start it click Advanced > Gather Logs Upload an archive once it is done. Attach the mbst-grab-results.zip from the Desktop. Please attach mbst-grab-results.zip to your reply , like displayed here. To send ( upload) attachments please click the link marked "ADD Files". Then browse to where your file is located and select it and click the Open button. Only after you are all set plus have uploaded the ZIP file, then press the button "Submit Reply" in blue color. Please have patience throughout this case. Understand also I am a volunteer here. Cheers.
  18. The Microsoft Safety Scanner found no infection. Do you need further help ? You can delete msert.exe Delete securitycheck.exe Delete mbst-grab-results.zip Delete FSS.exe Delete mb-support-1.8.7.918.exe
  19. ok. Malwarebytes For Windows Premium is the best anti-malware app. Just keep in mind that it is not a traditional antivirus. I would like you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner just to do a quick scan & also that Microsoft Defender be enabled for anti-spyware protection. The Microsoft Safety Scanner is a free Microsoft stand-alone virus scanner that can be used to scan for & remove malware or potentially unwanted software from a system. The download links & the how-to-run-the tool are at this link at Microsoft https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/intelligence/safety-scanner-download Look on Scan Options & select QUICK scan. Then start the scan. The log is named MSERT.log the log will be at C:\Windows\debug\msert.log Please attach that log with your reply. The intermediate displays of this tool should be dis-regarded. Only the final results are what count.
  20. Insuring that all programs are up-to-date with latest versions is a key aspect of keeping computer secure. These are what need attention from you to insure they get updated. From the SecurityCheck report. KeePass Password Safe 1.39 v.1.39 Warning! Download Update Microsoft Teams v.1.4.00.7174 Warning! Download Update Zoom v.5.4.3 (58891.1115) Warning! Download Update Skype version 8.67 v.8.67 Warning! Download Update VLC media player v.3.0.14 Warning! Download Update As to HItmanpro, is that a trial ? or did you purchase a license? If you are done with it, and it is a trial, then you should Uninstall Hitmanpro. Now then, a entirely separate point. On this machine, is the Windows 10 Microsoft Defender antivirus the sole and only antivirus application? If so, that needs additional attention.
  21. Just first complete all scans. Then tell me the results of each. Be sure you relay ( attach) the log from Malwarebytes.
  22. If possible, run the Microsoft Defender antivirus & select Quick scan from the Scan options. Then, similarly, do a quick scan with Avast. Them thirdly, if this pc has the Malwarebytes for Windows, I also would urge one new scan with Malwarebytes. Just go careful. Do not panic / do not rush. Patience is a key ingredient while this case is on going. after the Malwarebytes scan run completes, I need a scan report from Malwarebytes. See https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038479194-View-Reports-and-History-in-Malwarebytes-for-Windows-v4
  23. Thanks. That Adwcleaner report is very good. Now a pair of reports to check some statuses. These are just reports. Download SecurityCheck by glax24 from here https://tools.safezone.cc/glax24/SecurityCheck/SecurityCheck.exe and save the tool on the desktop. If Windows's SmartScreen block that with a message-window, then Click on the MORE INFO spot and over-ride that and allow it to proceed. This tool is safe. Smartscreen is overly sensitive. Right-click with your mouse on the Securitycheck.exe and select "Run as administrator" and reply YES to allow to run & go forward Wait for the scan to finish. It will open in a text file named SecurityType.txt. Close the file. Attach it with your next reply. You can find this file in a folder called SecurityCheck, C:\SecurityCheck\SecurityCheck.txt [ 2 ] This is a different sort of report. Download Farbar's Service Scanner utility and Save to your Desktop. Right-Click on fss.exe and select Run As Administrator. Answer Yes to ok when prompted. If your firewall then puts out a prompt, again, allow it to run. Once FSS is on-screen, be sure the following items are check-marked: Internet Services Windows Firewall System Restore Security Center/Action Center Windows Update Windows Defender Other services Click on "Scan". It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach that file. 😁
