  1. On a few of my headless systems I have both the Settings ==> Application updates options turned "off". *reason explained below However, Malwarebytes 4.4 does not respect the settings and continues to notify. Looking in the firewall logs Malwarebytes is also attempting to download the updates against my explicit settings. This is how malware behaves. Why is Malwarebytes doing this? I've already purchased licenses for all my systems, those licenses auto renew annually, so there is nothing to market to me nor do I EVER want to see you push marketing ads or offers to me, you're only making me angry and consider alternatives. *Automatic updates are turned off because blind Malwarebytes updates have incorrectly identified applications and services on these systems as "unwanted" or "malware" multiple times over the years. This occurs regardless of "Allow List" settings, and caused system failures requiring manual corrective actions to recover the systems. But Malwarebytes ignoring the "Allow List" is a separate complaint.
  2. Why is Malwarebytes refusing to comply with the settings in the software? It is behaving like malware itself.

Ran a manual Threat Scan and the system came out clean. Obviously a Malwarebytes error.
