Thank you very much for taking the time to put this together. Your enthusiasm for Malwarebytes is admirable and we appreciate your passion and dedication! One of the many challenges UI/UX designers face is creating a design that is aesthetically pleasing and functional for a variety of people. The Design team has put in a lot of effort to produce a design that works for users with accessibility needs and accommodates multiple languages (some of which result in some lengthy translations). While we regret that the current design has missed the mark of excellence for many people in this thread, we are constantly focused on improvement and appreciate your feedback.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The expected functionality is that we retain your existing preference when upgrading. We're looking into the issue now.
Yes, I regret that it's our Beta testers, who likely have more exclusion rules than the average person, are bearing the brunt of this - please know we most certainly appreciate your efforts.
As for the logs you provided, yes they were indeed helpful. We're continuing to look into this and @LiquidTension will likely get back to you tomorrow. Thanks again!
Thank you both for the feedback. We most likely won't have the feature for export/import exclusion rules available for the initial release of Malwarebytes 4, but I do have it on the list of features we want to implement. On a positive note, with the latest Beta release, we carryover exclusion rules when upgrading from Malwarebytes 3 to Malwarebytes 4.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm happy to report that we are setting up some research around our notifications with the goal to improve them in future releases. If you have time to share more of your feedback around notifications, we'd be happy to reach out to you. Please let us know if you'd like us to contact you when we begin the research. Thanks!
