That happened to me once. I had another program installed for malware/virus protection as well. I removed/uninstalled that program; uninstalled MWB, then re-installed. All went well. Funny thing was I had the two programs installed for nearly a year with no problems until that one time. I run MWB [remium exclusively. No issues.

Any redirect problems using Safari?

alvarnell - Thanks for the link. My email was pawned. Legit sites either selling or were hacked (everyone needs a hobby). Cell not pawned. Adding the site to my favorites.

This may not be related but when I send previously read emails to trash, then hit delete, I will sometime have a few that do not disappear, but reflect no sender, no subject. See the partial screen shot. Clicking inbox and all goes away.

I followed the directions. I selected protection. Then I turned OFF malwarebytes protection. Backed out of preferences then went back in and turned it on. All went well. Real time protection up and running.

Up and running on Ventura. Thanks to Treed and others for the work around.

Malwarebytes lifetime license can't activate on Mac
brcd replied to meandmyself's topic in Malwarebytes for Mac Support Forum
I sure would like to see a lifetime subscription for MWB. Someday, maybe! -
That's all I could find with instructions. I did read on a couple of sites that the free license expires in May. Good luck!

Could the info at this link be of any help? https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/natwest-and-malwarebytes-team-up-to-provide-free-virus-protection/

Thomas - Thanks.

I have been using AG for a long time (lifetime subscription). I had considered Ublock a long time ago before subscribing to AG and will look into the Ublock program again. I was unaware that it could incorporate AG filters. Thanks.

Done and done. Many thanks. I posted the same question for AdGuard on its forum and based upon your recommendation downloaded the AG extension for FireFox as well. Many thanks!

I run the premium paid version of Malwarebytes for Safari/MAC. I am wondering if MWB is running in Firefox when I switch over? Thanks in advance!

Thanks again. Massimiliano also responded and guided me. Great forum!

1PW - I did as you said and I got the congratulations and I am up to date. I checked and am running version 4.13.5. Is that the same as the Mac Protection Base? If not, where would I find it? Many thanks for the help!!!

I have tried for the last two days to check for u[dates and the site says it is checking but many minutes later, still checking. Only option is to close. Any ideas?

alvarnell - Thanks for the quick response. What you say makes sense.

I use the paid versions of both MalwareBytes and AdGuard for Mac OS. I am curious if I download and install MB Browser Guard, can I run it and AdGuard at the same time without conflicts or system slowdown? Would they compliment each other? As an aside, when I updated to OS Monterey, it loaded a shield symbol half shaded just outside the search bar which I guess is some sort of privacy protection and I gave no conflicts. Thanks in advance.

WIFI Router with built-in Security
brcd replied to brcd's topic in Mac Malware Removal Help & Support
Thanks again. I reckon I will be happy and pretty secure with wpa2. In any event, after selecting it over my previous setting, the alert ! disappeared. Going to rest easy for the next year or two. -

I got to tinkering with the airport and found I could indeed select wpa2 personal. Prior I had it set to wpa/wpa2 personal. The little alert ! has disappeared. Maybe all is well and I do not need an equipment upgrade. Thanks again.
