hi i have this issue https://community.mcafee.com/thread/47666?start=0&tstart=0 on about 8 of my pc's once i delete the shortcuts on my server and unhide the files they come back! i have scanned all my pc's with every AV tool that i know of nothing found, i have downloaded malwarebytes and that finds nothing, I cannot be the only one that has tried malwarebytes does anyone have any ideas? it has now changed from thumbs.db2 to thumbs.dbg regards Kevan

Hi can sombody help me? I have a PC with Norton 2009 AV installed (status OK) and Malwarebytes anti malware, every time i reboot my pc since yesterday i am getting an error about generis host process caused violation and will close. Also my firewall keeps poping up saying its turned off, so i have tried running mbam and it wont update or scan (lasts for 2 seconds then closes). i have tried in safe mode still no joy. After doing a search i found Combofix i have followed the instructions and now have a log file but i do not understand it lol! can someone help me please regards Kevan
