  1. hello! thanks for offerring to help but i am just going to "let it ride," for now.
  2. samsung magician 8 will not run on my computer, with the setup that i have. it is possible that one or more of the tweaks that i have applied to my computer is causing the problem. i don't know. build 7.3 does run, without any problems.
  3. i sent the requested support-tool zip file in a private message.
  4. i am having the exact same problem except it hasn't been resolved on my end, and i am using a cable-connection, not wi-fi. i don't think the issue is resolved. i think the person only thinks that it is resolved, not knowing that the update simple hasn't yet been downloaded again, where it fails again to install.
  5. if you are stuck on getting the error when trying to update the MBG database, to fix the problem, try uninstalling the MBG browser-extension and then reinstalling it.
  6. i noticed that some content on youtube webpages was being blocked so i looked for the cause of the problem and found that "malwarebytes browser guard" was blocking "youtube" on the youtube webpages.
  7. i think "r.mobirisesite.com" needs to be removed from the blocklist. it is listed at "phishtank" but it seems that the offending data has been removed: https://www.phishtank.com/phish_detail.php?phish_id=8054275 apparently "r.mobirisesite.com" is used for puliing all kinds of content for websites that are hosted by "sitename.mobirisesite.com" which, incidentally, also is being blocked by "malwarebytes browser guard," maybe because "r.mobirisesite.com" is associated with it? so maybe "sitename.mobirisesite.com" also needs to be removed from the blocklist?
  8. https://www.aviva.fr/espaceclient/MonCompte/Connexion hello. someone posted about having a problem with accessing the "aviva.fr" webpage so i tried accessing it myself and found it to be blocked by the "malwarebytes browser guard" browser-extension, "due to phishing." my guess is that this is a false-positive. i was using the firefox browser, the latest version, build 104.0. the person said that they would go to the "abeille-assurances.fr" webpage and then click "mon espace" to go to the "aviva.fr" webpage: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3100071
  9. nevermind. MBG is updating, now. 🙂
  10. if you look in the MBAM support sub-forum, several people there have mentioned that they currently are not able to update the MBAM program. likewise, the updates for MBG are not coming through:
  11. the cloud-database is downloading for me, now: # ------------------------------- # Malwarebytes AdwCleaner 8.3.2.0 # ------------------------------- # Build: 03-23-2022 # Database: 2022-06-24.1 (Cloud) # Support: https://www.malwarebytes.com/support # # ------------------------------- # Mode: Scan # ------------------------------- # Start: 06-27-2022 # Duration: 00:00:13 # OS: Windows 10 Home # Scanned: 32051 # Detected: 0
  12. this issue needs to be addressed, please! help! we are in a black hole, here. help! help! help! SOS! HELP! HELP!
  13. the problem is on malwarebytes' end. you can easily test it yourself by doing a scan with the "adwcleaner" program and then looking at the scan-log to see that the cloud-database is not being downloaded. this problem just popped up in the last week or so. before, the cloud-databases were downloading properly. i ran the "malwarebytes support tool" and looked at the scan-logs. it seems that the "malwarebytes support tool" is intended to look for problems relating to the "malwarebytes antimalware" program. i don't have the "malwarebytes antimalware" program installed so the logs didn't show anything that was worthwhile, so i am not uploading them. essentially, all that the "mawarebytes support tool"-scan-logs showed was "couldn't find information."
  14. hello. lately, when i do a scan with adwcleaner, i notice that the cloud-database is not being downloaded. here is what the scan-log shows: # ------------------------------- # Malwarebytes AdwCleaner 8.3.2.0 # ------------------------------- # Build: 03-23-2022 # Database: 2022-03-15.3 (Local) # Support: https://www.malwarebytes.com/support # # ------------------------------- # Mode: Scan # ------------------------------- # Start: 05-14-2022 # Duration: 00:00:14 # OS: Windows 10 Home # Scanned: 32041 # Detected: 0

    Thank You!

i just want to say thank you to "malwarebytes" and all of you who provide support in the forum, helping to make "malwarebytes browser guard" better and better.
  16. suddenly, adwcleaner is flagging my HOSTS file. i checked my HOSTS file and didn't see any unusual entries in it. i attached a scan-log. i am using steven black's HOSTS file, with some modifications: https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts AdwCleaner[S00].txt
  17. hello. i noticed that the website "hotshapers.pk" is being blocked by MBG. can you please check it out and whitelist the website if appropriate. it probably is being blocked due to the fact that it uses an unusual TLD, ".pk" i noticed the website because the owner posted about it in the avast forum, because the avast program also is blocking it, so i am interested to see if y'all find any problems with it.
  18. check to see if you have added "dailymail.co.uk" to MBG's "allow list"? when you say that all of your browsers are affected the same way, maybe that is because they are all "sync-ed" and so they all have the same settings? that also could explain why the settings revert.
  19. it wasn't being blocked by the malwarebytes program but by the "malwarebytes browser guard" browser-extension, which was added to your browser.
  20. the website/URL is not blocked on my end, either.
  21. to contact malwarebytes support, go to the malwarebytes website and click "contact us" at the top or at the bottom of any of the webpages there. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
  22. here is a malwarebytes support webpage which has a link for testing malwarebytes' web-protection: https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038524934-Verify-Malwarebytes-for-Windows-can-block-malicious-websites here is the link for testing the web-protection: http://iptest.malwarebytes.com/
  23. it's possible that you don't have "malwarebytes browser guard" set to block suspicious top level domains. that setting is disabled by default. you have to manually enable it yourself. some people complained about TLD's being blocked so malwarebytes gave people the option of enabling it or not. incidentally, on my computer, with "block suspicious TLD's" enabled, "maxbucks.online" IS blocked. also, if you use the "ublock origin" browser-extension, you can create your own custom rule to block the "online" TLD (top level domain), if you want to.
  24. thank you both for your help. i will leave it in your hands.
