I ran the Malware Bytes Adware Cleaner program. It stated 2 items found. Pup.Optional.auslogisticsBoostSpeed I went ahead and quarantined it

I also ran the free Eset online scanner. It snagged onto the install file as an potential unwanted program, but not a virus. It deleted the install file too. I have already uninstalled the app.

I changed hard drives, and I installed VideoWizard - All-in-One DVD & Video Converter It is a program I bought 10 years ago. The install program kept being deleted by Malwarebytes. I finally had to turn Malwarebytes off to install the program. Now, I wonder if I should have installed it at all. I uninstalled it, but just was curious if this was a known conflict, or a serious problem for me.

Disabling Norton seemed to fix it. I also went in and deleted a few file manually that adwcleaner would never get rid of - remaining Zone Alarm files that I found . I had looked on another website and found the location of a few files that often get left behind on a Zone Alarm install... Now, nothing shows up on either scan. And, now Malware Bytes runs 100% with no sticking or getting stuck. Thanks for all your help!

Interestingly enough - the autoscan feature finished at 2:07am. But, if I do it manually, it gets stuck. It never finishes, and just gets stuck and goes forever. Also, it did find 1 entry the last time I ran it before it go stuck. But since it got stuck, I could never eliminate that 1 issue left over from zone alarm.

Where do I get FRST.exe? I looked on the thread several times, and I see no previous reference to it

Ok, I did what you asked. There is nothing in quarantine. I did run Malware Bytes in safe mode, just to try it. It still gets stuck. It does not freeze on the same file everytime
