  1. Hey there, here's the history, long story. So I posted in 2018 on this forum about the same issue, wew my laptop has survived a while! so I downloaded a file plagued by a virus that messed up admin privileges. Also used excessive CPU, and still does. Malwarebytes told me to show them some log text from scf downloader or something along those lines, I did, they also got me to download malwarebytes, junk removers, rootkit scanners, use windows defender, I also topped it off myself with AVG And AVAST. However it all found nothing, and problem still existed, however despite missing most of my admin privileges I left it as be. However the most concern was under checkapps or something settings, it had permanently ticked and greyed out "Don't check" or something that allows any application or file to be downloaded without asking my permission or notifying me in windows settings. Skip 2 years later, still same problem however I recently downloaded an app that was meant to allow ps4 controllers with laptops for microsoft store games. The publishers name was Bruce James, I knew I should have been suspicious however it was my birthday so I was feeling lucky, damn I was not!. So I spent my birthday scanning folders, using malwarebytes premium trial, also used malwarebytes rootkit scanner, and microsoft rootkit scanner they all found absolutely NOTHING. This virus uses heaps of CPU, messed up my admin rights to extent I can not window scan of ANY FORM, not quick scan, not full scan. I have tried to reset, restore, and wipe my windows and it will not let me. in the middle of resetting it will say "A problem has occured" "Nothing has changed". And take me back to my awfully corrupted or hacked windows. Mind you when I ever I restart my laptop I get an error warning from windows saying along the lines of "Something applications is running, this may cause problems blah blah blah, this will allow malicious users onto your computer through this application". So that gets me worried!! I contacted microsoft experts multiple times. They say every time, reset through a USB flashdrive. However I don't have a usb over 16gb, I also would prefer to not have too, that is my next step if Malwarebytes forums can not give me a hand up. Any help or support is much appreciated, I have faith that you can help me battle the issues my laptop is facing whether it be corrupted file, weird administrator bug, virus, ransomware, hacker, spyware, adware, whatever it maybe. Please and thank you in advance :)
  2. Cheers for all the assistance! sorry for the late response, Just moved home so was a bit busy, Will uninstall my antiviruses properly, think the problem is solved as chrome is only using about 5 to 20% CPU now which I believe is normal thanks!
  3. Cheers for all the assistance! Heres all the logs just finished with the scans, didn't find any threats this time! FRST.txt Malwarebytes Summary scan.txt AdwCleaner Log File.txt Addition.txt
  4. Hey thanks for responding much appreciated It helped, but is it still normal for google chrome to use 60% of Cpu at times? I personally think its still running the adware but malwarebytes and malwarebytes adware scan didnt pick up on anything? I was wondering if I should system restore?
  5. Okay so I ran malwarebytes it found nothing, then ran malwarebytes adware remover tool thing and it found 6 threats removed them and made me restart laptop. Then it found two more and restarted. Then found nothing then reset chrome and reinstalled. Then all the adware returned throttling my cpu to 100% usage. Then downloaded hitman pro sophos free trial it found 6 pups, 2 malware, 3 something else and removed that then reset pc and uninstalled itself no idea if it was an intended uninstall of hitman pro. Then i tried malware bytes again which found nothing, then downloaded zamana thing and it wouldnt allow me to install it. But all of this to no avail, no improvement so far still cant use my browsers. Do I just reboot my laptop? Really need it for important study soon.
  6. Okay I just found out that its Akamai.hd browser hijacking virus, and donationtool.org and something else with a bunch of letters. I have no clue how to remove them, I discovered them hidden in Chromes Task manager, they keep appearing and I have cleared cookies and cache over and over.
  7. Just thought I would add, in processes task manager when I switch on google chrome it is sooooo laggy, but then I noticed its using 100% of my computers cpu... internet explorer only using 2.6% so im wondering if its a key logger, or cryptocurrency miner attatched to chrome? Even though i have uninstalled and reinstalled which I will do again to make sure. When I click to see what google chrome is running it says google chrome (9) and its running 9 cases of google chrome but only showing one tab and window of google chrome... super strange
  8. Please help heres is the log text and some images to illustrate my struggle. I have scanned with malwarebytes, AVG, avast and microsoft security tools, Also tried Grem antirootkit tool and nothing came up for any except malwarebytes found 4 threats which i quarantined and deleted. But I have still had issues, Such is really laggy browser on chrome which is usually super fast even after reinstalling it. Also had Lag in general across the board. I have tried looking for more software but its difficult to access any page to download antivirus software as it lags to much. And in one case bleeping computer website was closed and replaced with some virus site accompanied with a high pitch beep sound from the virus page not a great experience. In the log file, I found something that had attention next to it about microsoft security I am afraid that it has stolen my admin priviledges and hijacked microsoft security to still exist on my laptop. It is vital I remove this virus asap as I use this laptop for my university studies. Any help is much appreciated thanks! :) Addition.txt FRST.txt
