  1. Update the troubleshoot screen appeared and we are resetting it since there wasn't many files anyways
  2. I've tried just now nothing has appeared, is there any way to reset it? It's fine if I can't keep my files honestly I can just reinstall everything
  3. So I do the pc a hard reset? or just remove the battery for a few seconds and turn it on 3 times each time I pull out the battery?
  4. I tried following the first option on the site with the link and when I hold F8 nothing happens?
  5. I unfortunately don't own a working pc at the moment, but with my pc when it tunes on I get a screen with that's blue that does say "your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart, we will restart it for you" with a code box thing on the left that can be scanned that says "inaccessible boot device" next to it if that gives anything??
  6. So I do need another pc with a usb to create a recovery drive? Is there any other way to do this or is this the only option?
  7. It's still doing the automatic repair and I can't find a way to get the blue screen with the troubleshoot option to appear even trying to let it restart by holding the power button didn't work
  8. So on avast forums long story short I was having issues with Avast and someone helping me wrote instructions on to create a fixlog.txt for FRST and I swore I did do the instructions right, I run the fixlog.txt file I was instructed to make and it says my pc needs to restart so I did and for hours now it's been on the "Preparing automatic repair" screen and I've tried to fully shut it off 3-4 times now to try to put it on the troubleshoot screen and haven't been able to, has anyone had this before with FRST? I'm not sure if my os is damaged or not and what I should do..
  9. I've done some looking on avasts fourms and I'm going to try to change my dns to google dns to see if that solves it, thank you so much for being patient with me and helping me get rid of the PUPs I will let you know if they come back, thank you!

  11. It's the free version, and thank you! I'll install it here in a bit and update you right away!
  12. It was the same error as last time I tried, when it was downloading the anti virus hallway though its installation it stopped and said "there was an error while completing the setup process" and i got off the computer, should I run it again and when the error occurs again attach the error log?
  13. I don't know if it's cause of my internet being slow maybe?
  14. It shows again that there was a error while completing the setup process?
  15. Thank you! I let it delete it but the setup is still on my pc, should I run the setup and let it try again or delete the setup and get a fresh copy?
  16. A lot of the places I'm finding that show how to exit safe mode say to run system configuration and in boot uncheck the safe boot box but mine wasn't checked to begin with?
  17. Okay I let it boot into safe mode and it says it removed them, how do I exit safe mode from here?
  18. here's the logs if you need them Addition_03-02-2019 14.30.23.txt FRST_03-02-2019 14.30.23.txt
  19. I tried to install Avast twice and it keeps showing "there was an error while completing the setup process" I'm unsure why it keeps showing this
  20. I scanned with adwcleaner and luckily they haven't came back up, I'm going to try to reinstall avast again and hopefully it won't have an error
  21. here's the fixlog! Fixlog_31-01-2019 20.09.04.txt
  22. I just let adwcleaner remove it, should I still run the fix?
  23. here's the FRST logs, ill remove the PUP right now with adwcleaner, also do you think i can reinstall Avast after i remove it? FRST_30-01-2019 18.42.09.txt Addition_30-01-2019 18.42.09.txt
  24. I haven't removed it recently after the FRST fix that deleted it's entry and I haven't downloaded anything new, I'll scan with FRST and attach the log and have adwcleaner remove it and if it comes back which I doubt
  25. sorry for not posting this i got busy! but i scanned again with adwcleaner and it picked up the PUPs again, should i let it clean them off and see if they come back from there? AdwCleaner[S43].txt
