  1. Just got the latest update for War Thunder (2.3.0.27) & got another eleven (11) Potential threats blocked (malicious websites). Pretty annoying but eh, merry Xmas everyone & here's to a better year then 2020. See you on the battlefield:-)
  2. @Yeet_Yap1yeah, I used to play on a laptop & it used to struggle with WT, esp. when I found out the HD Drive was damaged. I replace it with a SSD & that helped heaps. Maybe check to see if your HD is damaged at all (you mentioned you may have damaged it)? I splurged on a new desktop with RTX 2070S (although now I wish I'd waited for the 3000 series..doh) & it makes the world of difference having a decent graphics card & memory etc. Hopefully see you on the battlefield. Cheers.
  3. I got eight (8) potential threats blocked for WT Launcher on Tuesday after the latest update. I seem to get them constantly but the game still works fine, so don't worry about them. Malwarebytes even quarantined two (2) items "bpreport.exe" & "latest.zip" on 29/10/20 and the game still worked fine. Seems weird how they include all dodgy files in the updates, but they don't seem to affect the game at all if blocked or quarantined. Anyway, new WT update looks good with DLSS now. Just a shame all my tanks are made of paper mache....apparently...😁.
  4. Here's a Blocked Website I got from War Thunder Launcher.exe a while ago. -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 16/08/2020 Protection Event Time: 20:20 Log File: 1a5cfde2-dfaa-11ea-8402-04d9f588dec1.json -Software Information- Version: 4.1.2.73 Components Version: 1.0.1003 Update Package Version: 1.0.28557 Licence: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 19041.450) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Blocked Website Details- Malicious Website: 1 , C:\Users\.......\AppData\Local\WarThunder\launcher.exe, Blocked, -1, -1, 0.0.0, , -Website Data- Category: Trojan Domain: IP Address: 5.187.46.152 Port: 27032 Type: Outbound File: C:\Users\........\AppData\Local\WarThunder\launcher.exe (end) I've also downloaded WT CDK & got several Blocked Websites for WT LocationEditor, WT MissionEditor & WT AssetViewer. Trojans on all of them apparently but pretty sure false positives. I can provide more info if needed.
  5. Also, is there anyway you can export a log file so that it automatically saves the file with the IP address included in the filename? Or even a date / time stamp would be good. Cheers.
  6. I'm getting the same issue with War Thunder launcher. Last WT update sent Malwarebytes crazy. It was blocking IP addresses continuously during the update, the notification window for Malwarebytes wouldn't stop popping up. I've noticed it doesn't affect playing the game. There would have to be a couple of dozen notifications as a result, because of my dodgy internet speed, it took about 6 hours to do the last WT update, & Malwarebytes was detecting "trojans" etc the whole time. I think I need to turn off "Real Time Protection" during future War Thunder updates. Seems the easiest workaround. I suspect false positives and very annoying. Anyway other suggestions to prevent this from happening in future?
  7. Thanks, but no thanks. Amazing how deleting one file can make a man so happy 😉😁. Thanks for the help.
  8. Well, it did the scan, but I still couldn't delete it, until I opened up the folder properties & noticed the Attributes check box for "Read-only (Only applies to files in folder)" was blacked out. So I changed the permissions & then re-tried deleting it and it worked - file deleted. Thanks. P.s. just realized I called you Root Admin instead of AdvancedSetup.....sorry about that. I wouldn't mind being Root Admin myself....of course in down under, a "root" is something entirely different....lol.
  9. I got it to work. I had to run Windows Powershell (admin). Just about to restart now, stay tuned 🤞
  10. I get the following message: Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or the disk may be locked by another process. You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode and make sure the disk is unlocked. How do I invoke in elevated mode & check disc is unlocked?
  11. Just to clarify, should I type in CHKDSK C: /FY ? 😕
  12. Thanks Root Admin, Ok, I got to here (see image below) Then got a bit confused. When you say "then press the Y key", do you mean type "Y" after the "F" then hit Enter, or am I missing something? Just thought I'd check before doing making the situation worse 🙂
  13. I have a .tiff file located at "This PC > Local Disk(C:) > Users > Username > Documents" (Win 10) in a folder that I can't delete or even rename for that matter. I've scanned it with Malwarebytes & tried shredding it with Bitdefender File Shredder but nothing seems to work. I've scanned the drive for errors but all good. I tried deleting the folder it's in (it's the only file in that folder), but same goes for it. Everything else seems fine, just this one file that's haunting me 😬 Any suggestions on how to delete/remove? Cheers
  14. Hi Guin, I just restarted Malwarebytes & it seems to have fixed it.
  15. I just did the same. Restarted Malwarebytes & my frequent notifications on websites blocked has stopped. Thanks Zynthesist.
  16. Yes, I'm getting the same. It doesn't seem to be stopping anything from working as far as I can tell. Just suddenly getting heaps of blocks.
  17. Probably need to give Malware bytes permissions in Bitdefender to let it run without any hassles. See above images I've posted. Also this one as well.
  18. I'm currently running Bitdefender plus Malwarebytes with the possibility that my Bitdefender subscription may not get renewed (a topic for another discussion). Anyway, I frequently use the "Wallet" or password manager that Bitdefender offers. Due to me having a memory like a sieve & hopeless at remembering passwords, I find the password manager together with the password generator really handy. I have also used Norton's Vault (Norton 360) in the past & was wondering if Malwarebytes had ever considered developing a similar product (maybe as premium product only). Otherwise, if someone knows of any similar software for this type of thing I'd appreciate a head's up as I may be in the market for one. Cheers.
  19. Thanks. I've installed Malwarebytes & both it & Bitdefender working together fine (so far). Just added Malwarebytes program files to Bitdefender safe files & all good. I didn't do anything in Malwarebytes, just ran a default scan & it came up clean:-) Bitdefender hasn't had any issues with Malwarebytes either (yet). Hopefully Bitdefender will fix the external drive issue soon as it is quite annoying. Wait & see I guess. Cheers.
  20. Hi all, just joined the forum because I'm currently running Bitdefender 2019 Total Security & I'm looking at complimenting it with Malwarebytes. Interested to see if any incompatibility issues. Also wondering if anyone else here using Bitdefender is currently experiencing issues with safety removing external usb hard drives (forum link: https://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?/topic/79809-bug-external-hard-drives-wont-eject-with-bitdefender/ ). I'm also experiencing some other issues with Bitdefender and my subscription expires in about 2 months so I'd like to start researching possible alternate security options. So I've downloaded Malwarebytes but haven't installed it yet, as I was a bit concerned that it and BD would not be compatible. But after reading this post I'm hoping they work ok together as long as I install Malwarebytes after BD is installed? Is that correct? Just want to clarify. If anyone has any further tips re installing/running the two programs I'd rather not learn from the school of hard knocks, like I have in the past. Cheers.
