  2. Hi all ! Topic: NVIDIA GeForce 210 GPU Software Driver Fail To Install On Windows 7 32-bit Monitor screen on standard VGA graphics adapter First of all, I am not a tech geek or an IT trained member but I would really really appreciate the help of anyone here !! It's such a headache ! I am gonna try to be as detailed as I can so don't mind my long post.. FULL STORY: For about a year or so, out of the blue, with no virus or new changes to my desktop system, whenever I ran a game (DOTA 2) halfway, my computer would just stop and a loud 'buzz' sound would be heard and my computer would just restart itself. My fam and I tried finding out what could be the cause and we thought it may be temperature, we even had a software to identify which parts were hotter than usual. We even replaced the gel under the heat sink fan area and despite all that, whenever we run any games, the computer would just restart after 10 mins in or so. Thereafter, we just stopped running games. All was fine except for certain rare occasions where without running any games or big apps, the computer would make that similar sound, screen would turn black and the restart would take place. Until few days back, the screen would now just go black for awhile WITHOUT restarting and a message would pop mentioning something about disk driver update etc (cant rmb the exact message). So we tried installing the latest nvidia geforce software geforce 210 series (NOT G210) version (through recommended settings, not custom), so during the installation under 'installing graphic driver' or so, the screen suddenly turned black but the computer was still running and on. I tried moving the mouse etc but nothing changed so after 30-35 mins i forced restarted it. After I tried running the same file again and it would show 'graphics driver failed'. From there, I tried SOO many solutions: 1.Downloading several other versions of the nvidia software version. 2.Removing all the files for Nvidia relating to the GPU. 3.Power switch off and restarting computer. 4.Did a new clean installation through the custom option when running the file, instead of the recommended option. Through here, there are like 5 items or so but it is only the graphic driver section that would fail to install. 5.Entering safe mode to remove all the files and restarting it to start a clean installation. 6.No antivirus but instead antimalware, computer is clean. There are some funny thing I found though, there are 2 windows update that would fail to update, 1 being a nvidia graphic adapter and another just didn't show. I tried searching the windows update error and there are some findings about heating of the GPU or so, that by cooling the CPU and cleaning it all, some had that issue fixed. I was wondering if replacing the heat sink fan or changing the graphic card slot may resolve this issue. The windows update seem to be linking with the GPU and flash player adobe cannot be installed as well. Not sure what is going on. The thing is, I heard that installing the graphics driver and failing, has nothing to do with the GPU itself. I do not want to purchase a brand new GPU and then I am still unable to install the graphics driver software. Thank you so much for your help ! -FC.
