  1. We did just get a new asus router when we upgraded our internet about 2 weeks ago. I will try your suggestions thank you.
  2. As the title says i have gotten these random rtp detections while just browsing youtube or playing games with friends in the evening. Some seem to be the same while others are different. I havent downloaded anything new or been using new sites since i built this pc, so i am curious if these have just been false positives or if they are something to be concerned about. Both MB threat scan, adwcleaner, and windows protection scans all show no threats detected it is just the real time protection notifying me of these. Any help or insight on the issue is greatly appreciated. MB.txt MB 2.txt MB 3.txt MB 4.txt
  3. I was browsing google images for a new desktop wallpaper and when i clicked the image i got a real time protection notification. To be clear i did not click the link to the website just the image. I was wondering if this was a false positive or an actual block and if i dont have to worry about it.
  4. So was this a false positive or was the IP previously spreading malicious software and flagged? if so should i be concerned at all or did malwarebytes block out any potential threat to my system.
  5. Hello i received this notification from real time protection while trying to join my friends lobby in a game. I have been playing this game with my friends for a few weeks now and this is the only time i have gotten such a notification or any on my system from either scans or real time protection. If anyone could clarify on the issue it would be much appreciated. MB Detect.txt
  6. Thanks for clarifying and taking the time to help me out much appreciated.
  7. the original site blocked still shows in items stopped in last 30 days under real time protection but that was the only one that i received in the first place.
  8. My program is up date now. Scans still come back as no detection's as before.
  9. Hello i saw a notification on the MalwareBytes desktop app and it said that a potential malicious site had been blocked on my system. I have not installed anything new on my computer in over a month and scan my system twice a day along with having the real time protection enabled fully. When i expanded the notification it said the it originated from a system file, when i scan my system it says no threats are detected same as when i scan using windows defender. If anyone is able to help clarify if this is a false positive or not it would be much appreciated.
  10. Just tried that command and it says file not found
  11. And do i have to space out everything out that much after DIR or can i just write it as one continuous line
  12. I closed the original command prompt window should i start from the beginning or jusyt the second step you just gave me?
  13. Side note: sorry to hijack this thread to solve me own issue.
  14. I typed this into command prompt that was the one you wanted yes? and i typed in SFC/SCANNOW and he now says beginning verification phase of system scan, is this what i want to see or did i mess up somewhere?
  15. Glad to hear this was a false positive. I deleted the files from quarantine in a state of panic... is this bad or will my system run fine?
  16. Yeah i was only one youtube and twitch.tv, that looks almost indentical to what i got today though i only got 6. Perhaps it could be a false positive seeing that 2 people using entirely diffrent systems and sites got identical results.
  17. To be specific the threats detected were labeled as " Trojan.Emotet.Generic " , all 6 were named the same with 5 being registry keys and 1 being a file. I have not gone on anything i normally wouldnt so im very concerned and confused as to what these are and how i even got them. whats even more confusing is that scans i did only a couple of hours prior all came back as 0 threats.
  18. Hello i recently did a scan on my PC and out of nowhere got 6 threat detection's on my PC. I have not been on any malicious sites only youtube and twitch so i have no idea where these threats came from and i am very very worried at the moment. Just moments before scanning i had a few failed attempts at resetting a password but i dont know if that could have been it. Here the log any help is very welcome and thank you for reading this. Malwarbytes Log.txt
  19. Thank you so much for your help Ron, you have given me my peace of mind back. I really appreciate what you and everyone at malwarbytes does. I hope you have a good day and thank you again i cant put into words what your help has been to me these last couple days. Take care.
  20. Thats great to hear and yes just a few questions. So for starters were you able to find out if the Trojan.MalPack was a false positive and since it was quarantined in the file system if it was indeed an infection it would not have been able to execute and cause damage from there correct?. And to delete the tools we have used i just send them to recycle bin and delete from within there?. And lastly I am safe to continue my regular use of this PC? such as gaming, social media, web browsing, etc. Without having to be worried of it being compromised.
  21. The scan just finished the one from last night and the one just now have detected no threats.
  22. I am ready to resume when you are i am available all day today.
