Thanks for the reply but after doing the steps you advised the PUP was still there. However, I did finally manage to remove it by going to 'manage search engines' and removing the 'ask jeeves' option which the PUP referred to in the scan. Once this was removed I ran the scan again and the PUP had gone. Hopefully you can pass this advice onto others who maybe having the same issue.

Hi, I am unable to remove PUP.Optional.Legacy (see attached PUP pic) after scanning and running AdwCleaner. When I restart my machine it is still there.
