  3. Hello community, i'm facing a weird issue with google chrome. After updating my malwarebytes to version 3.5.1.2522 (component package version: 1.0.374 and update package version: 1.0.5468), i can't open my google chrome. Malwarebytes anti-exploit keeps on blocking google chrome from opening. I uninstalled and reinstalled google chrome, removed all the extensions, deleted profiles, installed Google chrome canary but nothing seems to be working. I also contacted google chrome support forum and followed everything they suggested but nothing works. Could someone help me in fixing this annoying problem please? all other browsers work absolutely fine. below is the report i extracted from malwarebytes when it blocks chrome from opening. regards, Amil Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 6/13/18 Protection Event Time: 8:11 AM Log File: 043362cb-6ed9-11e8-bb6b-002186bfd015.json Administrator: Yes -Software Information- Version: 3.5.1.2522 Components Version: 1.0.374 Update Package Version: 1.0.5456 License: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 CPU: x86 File System: NTFS User: System -Exploit Details- File: 0 (No malicious items detected) Exploit: 1 Malware.Exploit.Agent.Generic, , Blocked, [0], [392684],0.0.0 -Exploit Data- Affected Application: Google Chrome (and plug-ins) Protection Layer: Protection Against OS Security Bypass Protection Technique: Exploit ROP gadget attack blocked File Name: URL: (end)
