@AdvancedSetup With MBAM Privacy VPN Connecting out of LA is working on a single unit with malwarebytes staying up to date out of Arizona, but I need it to cover 20+ licensed units. I can't have my systems getting infected or running into issues. Can you please let Lisa know..so there can be a resolution for right now until you guys have a fix. They have not been updated or protected properly with current database definition updates and more on all the other systems which is not ok. Between these systems in question and a bunch of others I have many licenses with you guys under different accounts. I'm trying to stay with malwarebytes of course.

Unable to update malwarebytes automatically or manually. I have also used the mbam support tool to clean install, already added application to windows firewall, already tried googles DNS servers for IPV4 and IPV6, already tried the registry update you've mentioned to force use IPV4 instead of IPV6. Sometimes after a fresh install manual updating will work but after 30 minutes to 1 hour it never works again. Reset network equipment no difference. Doesn't matter how many system restarts etc. I've tried disabling different protection layers inside of malwarebytes to see if that makes a difference and still have the same issue so re-enabled all. Happened all of the sudden between 3rd week of June and first day of July. Everything was working fine on all 20 PC's up until 2 weeks ago now every single PC malwarebytes is not updating. No changes have been made since in terms of windows updates or anything else. Malwarebytes was updated to the most recent version then next thing you know unable to update malwarebytes.... Already check windows security center and verified that windows defender is disabled and malwarebytes is turned on...Instead of having me follow all the same protocols which I already have followed every step from other posts i've seen over the past few days nothing you have mentioned to anybody has worked to remedy this issue. So please advise preferrably with a working solution. Also just so you know the other link you provide for malwarebytes direct download in other posts that version doesn't work either for updating. Something is wrong with malwarebytes. I wish I could actually install and older version of it but regardless if you have the full download or the older installer it still reverts and forces newer version to be installed. Its numerous computers Lenovo, HP, you name it. All running Windows 10 Pro version 21H1 or (21H2 full up to date). Malwarebytes is the only program that is having issues updating... When trying to update manually or automatically this is what happens below: Downloading stuck at 0% then gives the following message: Something went wrong: One or more items in the current update did not complete successfully. Please check your internet connection and try again. If you need more help, visit our support site. Nothing is wrong with the internet connection at all!!! Please provide me a version of malwarebytes that is pre 4.5.10 so I can atleast have things update instead of leaving all of the computers vulnerable which is not ok.

Ok so I have many different license where i have purchased many subscriptions with many different seats for each for friends, family, co-workers, my systems, and others and I have which seat under which license specified by device name/person name/date added and ALL OF THE INFORMATION IS GONE FOR EVERY SINGLE LICENSE AND EVERY SINGLE SEAT UNDER EACH LICENSE. This is very unprofessional. I have had nothing but problems for the past I want to say 8 months not being able to view the information I had in there to being able to add information and finally see it less than 2 months ago and now all of the sudden everything is gone. I NEED THIS FIXED ASAP or a refund for every single license and seat PERIOD!

@LiquidTension Sorry I've been busy just got reconnected to the computers in question: You Say: please try disabling Self-Protection and check if the freezes persists or not. My question is do I leave web protection and ransomware protection disabled when disabling the self protection module? Please let me know so I can continue testing. Thanks!

@LiquidTension @Erix Your response didn't show up until tonight at 6:50pm that is really strange hence my last response prior to 6:50pm Yes I was referring to component packages and referencing 3.7.1 differently as you can see. To summarise: The majority of the freezes are temporary and the machine typically recovers within 10 minutes. However, sometimes the machine lock ups indefinitely and requires a hard reboot. On installer versions prior to 3.7.1 (e.g. 3.6.1), the freeze still occurs with all protection modules enabled. However, disabling Web and Ransomware Protection resolves the issue entirely and results in no further freezes. On installer version 3.7.1, disabling Web and Ransomware Protection has little impact and the freezes still occur. 1. Yes on mostly all systems involved although there are some systems like system 2 require many hard reboots to get to work due to locking up indefinitely. 2. on 3.6.1 newest component package 527 freezing multiple times not just one freeze multiple lockups/freezes at random as you can tell above as previously stated. Disabling web and ransomware protection on systems that that are functioning as such resolves the issue with no further freezing or issues. On systems that lockup indefinitely and do not come back that requires a hard reboot only way to solve that is to also disable web and ransomware protection with no further issues if you don't computer is unusable. 3. On installer 3.7.1 disabling web and ransomware protection has little impact and freezes still occur but at a faster rate with more frequency either way on System 1. I haven't tried this yes on system 2. I hope this helps. My next message later tonight will be MS32INFO logs for System 1. Sorry about my delay.

@LiquidTension @Erix Has anybody found anything? Any response? Maybe I should have left that ticket open that you took over about 5-6 days ago.. System 2 going back to Saturday and Sundae 2-2-19 and 2-3-19 same exact hardware and driver versions as the first system, The second system is practically unbootable and I have to force shutdown and reboot almost 5-7 times before my desktop screen loads with icons etc and can use it. Otherwise it boots I login and no desktop icons and it just stays froze indefinitely until I force however many reboots it takes to get it functioning after I disabled web protection and ransomware protection it now functions properly also. If I re-enabled web either web protection by itself or ransomware by itself still has same issue. If I disabled both together it actually works without any problems now. This one also works perfectly with malwarebytes uninstalled to. This one I have to wait to get access to in order to upload logs. With booth enabled if I do get a successful booth it will eventually lock up indefinetly till force reboot however many times to get it back which is a pain and why I don't want to re-enable unless we have something that works.......!!! LOG FILES ATTACHED....!!! mbst-grab-results.zip

@LiquidTension @Erix I was also one of the original people who notified you guys back in September about the issues and had mentioned about Windows Action Center issues and things not registering properly so it's look like in some of these newer releases its better but there still is a significant delay about 2-5 minutes or more after installing malwarebytes or reinstalling for it to registering with Windows Action Center.
-
@LiquidTension @Erix Honestly in the very beginning back in the first week of September 2018 yes all systems in questions at this moment froze indefinitely which required a hard reboot, but even then the computer wasn't usable 99% of the time. SO obviously there has been some progess in the releases since just not a final solution.

@LiquidTension @Erix Honestly I've seen affected machines running 4.8.2, 5.0.8, 5.2.7 and 3.7.1 2839. So I don't know how useful that information is but all of them at this time are running 5.2.7 component package. Also when adding some ones name in this forum message if you see a blank message from me it's because if I type @nameofperson then sometimes it gets stuck in the blue section with the name and won't allow me to type anything or enter down a line just holds my cursor hostage so its another thing for you guys to look into. Thanks for finally re-doing and fixing the my account portal damn that took months also. I found if I copy and paste a previous message in that i can change the words and not get stuck....

Honestly I have seen over 500+ machines affected using both Windows 7 Professional, Home Premium 32 and 64bit. Intel and AMD. Next I will get to the other amd and intel based systems after we figure out these two in particular which there are 6-8 identical builds of. I have seen potential issues in windows 10 as well with things being a lot slower than normal, taking longer to boot, bluescreens, and more along with micro glitches that are hard for people to notice. Let's focus on this though.

@LiquidTension @Erix Honestly I have provided a lot of information and tons of log files to the support agent Christopher can you not see those with 5.2.7 and 3.7.1 2839 component package. These I can only access when not in use. We have tried disabling one or the other versus both but were left with the same exact locking up, freezing/ not responding issues. If I completely remove malwarebytes from each system we don't have a single problem with freezing, lockups, or not responding. The systems were professionally cleaned no viruses, drivers up to date, bios up to date, software up to date, device cleanup, driver cleanup, new Samsung EVO 860 series SSD's deployed to all, even new installs of operating systems on some for testings purposes. There is no rhyme or reason to this issue etc. Only happens on Windows 7 32bit and Windows 7 64bit systems. These two specific systems are AMD FX 6300 Six core Process 3.5ghz on Windows 7 32bit running nvidia geforce gt610 video cards with an Asus m5a and 8 gbs of memory with Samsung EVO 860 series 500gb sdd. 1. System 1 5.2.7. component package. With component package 5.2.7 lock up/freeze/not responding with all protection modules open it happens all the time with no rhythm or rhyme to it. I never knew when it was going to do it. May happen multiples times then not happen at all till the next day or the next week, but usually its a daily occurrence more than once. It can last for 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes up to 10 minutes at times not responding. Then go 30 minutes without doing it and do it again. After web protection and ransomware protection was disabled this past monday from 6:49pm to 9:01pm not a single glitch period. I sent in logs for this which were uploaded either on the forums or to christopher through support tool. I've ran so many not sure if I have them anymore. GOing into tuesday around 4:40pm after installing 3.7.1 2839 when it was back in use mind you I had enabled the web protection and ransomware protection: Not responding happened immediately when not in use. By 5:08pm I had to disable the ransomware and web protection so the employee could actually use the computer. By 5:17pm it had started not responding again. By 5:24pm it was repsonding again. Recover time from not responding with 3.7.1 2839 with the two above protection modules off was a bit quicker than normal 1 to 3 minutes, however the most current was 4 minutes. About 1 hour after this lock up around 6:30pm it had not locked up again. I sent it log files through support tool and believe I posted them here to. Wednesday when back with all protection modules back on and pc in use at 5:45pm copy and paste operation was done and it locked up. Stayed locked up for 5 minutes until 5:50pm Locked up again at 5:50 and so many second and came back around 5:51pm. It seems when clicking copy it locks up, but I don't believe it's that. Turned off ransomware and web protections and by 5:55pm locked up again with no responding notice, I got out of what I was doing and went back in way slower than normal response mind you this is using 3.7.1 2839 still and was having picture loading issues which I never had before small pictures inside of an excel file which usually load immediately and where taking minutes to load, I never had this problem before. Its taking about 1 to 1/2 minutes to load each image and uploaded log files through the support tool again. At this point at 6:47pm I took it back to 5.2.7 and re-enabled web protection and ransomware protection. Thursday back in use 4:25pm not responding about 5 minutes again had to shut off web protection and ransomware protection, then nothing still using 5.2.7 and working fine. It's way more functional with those 2 modules off. I just attached log files again for this system running 5.2.7 component package as useability is way worse running 3.7.1 2839 with or without web protection and ransomware protection enabled. This one also works perfectly with malwarebytes uninstalled to. System 2 going back to Saturday and Sundae 2-2-19 and 2-3-19 same exact hardware and driver versions as the first system, The second system is practically unbootable and I have to force shutdown and reboot almost 5-7 times before my desktop screen loads with icons etc and can use it. @boombastik @LiquidTension In these particular builds its nvidia graphics, and amd processors. What intel driver is that for specifically? Where you referencing the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver? Yeah these two specifics systems don't have that so that unfortunately cannot be the culprit on the non intel based systems. Thanks for letting me so know I can check that on some of the intel based systems though to see if there is potential there or not. My primary issue I need to resolve first is on nvidiagraphic and amd processor based systems at this very second. Will move to the intel systems next.

I am coming at this from many angles because I need a solution @LiquidTension as many of my clients have been dealing with these issues since the first week of September 2018. So i went back to the drawing board and tried an older component package 4.8.2 and that was a horrible failure as computer was unusable with all protection modules on and if I disable web protection and ransomware protection its not as bad but still usable. component package 5.0.8 wasn't any better either. Only one that I can use with those two protection modules disabled is component package 5.2.7. Not sure if this helps or not. I sent more log files with component versions 5.2.7, 4.8.2, and 3.7.1-2839 via the malwarebytes support tool. Maybe you will find something in one of those who knows at this point, but I need a solution and quick it's not feasible (not acceptable) to be running without web protection or ransomware protection for my clients, friends, my company, family etc...
-
@Porthos @LiquidTension @Erix Well this is odd it did lock up several times on the new build after I shut off the protection modules of ransomware and web protection, but about 45 minutes - to hour later there has been no lockups or freezing since about 6:30pm Mountain Time. I changed the settings around 5:30pm Mountain time.
-
@Porthos @LiquidTension @Erix Ok thanks the issue has since been re-replicated with using the newest beta version of 3.7.1.2839 the freezing and locking up is worse also if I disabled web protection and ransomware protection the computer works just fine. In version 3.6.1 527 component package if those two modules where off no issues whatsoever also. This is a brand new Samsung evo 860 series SSD with the most current firmware have also tried it with one that had outdated firmware. Both brand new out of the box still present the same issue/ mind you mechanical western digital hard drives also have the same issues doesn't matter maker, brand, mechanical or ssd. Nothing is wrong with the hard drive/s I have run smart diagnostics on it and checked it through hwinfo64 at the firmware level everything checks out good on both SSD's. Yes liquid it seems that i have to disabled both because if I only disable web protection the problem is still there and if I just disable ransomware protection its still there. If I disable both using 3.6.1 component package 527 it works with out any locks up or freezing. So this new beta is not helping. This newer 3.7.1.2839 beta and the locking up/freezeing/not responding is still happening. This newer version just seems to recover quicker meaning lockups/freezing will happen for generally for 1-3 minutes in length with the last one being 4 minutes with both protection modules on, so had to shut both off in order to use the system without locking up or freezing. I will be uploading more log files soon.
