  1. I uninstalled the previous version, but try as I may I couldn't get that cleanup batch file to run. (Administrator privileges needed). Anyway I re-installed it using the link given and it's working. I rebooted to check and it's still working.
  2. Sent you a message grunf, rather than fill this thread up with this.
  3. OK. There are 5 'Service Control Manager' entries within the last hour all with a status of 'Information'. No mention of MBAE.
  4. Have never used Event Viewer before. Am running it now - what do you want me to look for ??
  5. Hi neonred. Followed your instructions re. Issue Fixed. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Problem still remains.
  6. Here are the files you requested :- Addition.txt FRST.txt
  7. OK. This is a bit complicated but I'll try to keep it simple. Uninstalled v1.04.1.1012. (which worked OK). Was unable to run the cleaning tool. "Must have administrator privileges". Installed v1.09.1.1235 from website given. It ran and worked fine until I rebooted the computer then the same thing happened and the '...taking too long...' window was displayed. When I manually ran the program, it ran for about 5 mins then terminated with the same message. The service MbaeSvc was in the list of services but stopped and I couldn't start it (access denied). I've uploaded a screensho
  8. I installed the latest version (1235) when it came out and all was fine until today. I noticed it wasn't running and when I tried to start it I got the the message "MBAE service is taking to long to start. Please reboot your computer". Rebooting the computer had no effect and the above message continued to be displayed so I re-installed the previous version and all is well. There is obviously a conflict somewhere. [Windows 7 Pro; Panda Antivirus Free; Zonealarm Firewall Free]
  9. I've been directed here from a sub-forum where I started a thread after a MBAM crash during the Heuristic scanning phase. Thread here : https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/166582-another-crash-on-heuristic-scan/ Upon their advice, I've attached FRST.txt and Addition.txt. I was unable to paste the contents (Post too long error). Many thanks for your help. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  10. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free 2.1.4.1018 I'm also having issues with MBAM crashing during the final Heuristic scan. (Ran the scan twice). It ran successfully last week. This is the output from the Windows crash-popup :- Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: mbam.exe Application Version: 1.0.1.922 Application Timestamp: 55010546 Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll Fault Module Version: 6.1.7601.18247 Fault Module Timestamp: 521ea91c Exception Code: c00000fd Exception Offset: 000575d1 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
  11. Hi Pedro, It appears that the latest version (v1.05.1.1016) has fixed the problem. Something within the changelog has sorted me out anyway. Thanks for all the help. I don't have Rapport by the way. If there's anything else I can do to help, by all means ask.
  12. [sent you a pm pbust, but will post here as well for the sake of completeness]. I read the thread in the 'Experimental Builds' forum regarding the same issue and you reported it as fixed, by user Solarlynx & your QA. I uninstalled Comodo completely, re-downloaded it and re-installed it. But for me the problem remains. I'll play around & see if I can find what's causing the problem. I'm using MBAE Trial. Is there a difference between the trial & non-trial version that could cause this ?? Just a thought.
  13. Windows 7 Pro; Panda Free Antivirus; Comodo Firewall free. Just tried the same but with Foxit Reader (which is what I use) and everything works fine (with the shield activated). Looks like it's an issue with (Adobe) Acrobat Reader.
  14. Thanks Pedro. You've hit the nail on the head. Completely removed Comodo; just used Windows firewall and ALL IS OK with Chrome. Re-installed Comodo & the problem persists. So Comodo's the culprit. (Have deactivated the Chrome shield for now). Congratulations on winning the award, by the way.
