  1. I recently installed application updates and got a new free 14 day premium trial. after a few days I was curious about the extra tabs in the settings and went through them. When I clicked on the tab labeled "Account Details" it suddenly turned off the 14 day trial and gave me the option to start a new one. I did so thinking it was a glitch but now I have noticed that twice it has just ended the trial without asking and treats it like I had never clicked the premium trial in the first place. I have uninstalled completely (even deleting every file I could find in various folders labeled mbam and malwarebytes) and reinstalled twice and this keeps happening and I was wondering if this is an actual glitch in the program or if there is another issue in my computer itself
  2. I just did a scan using the latest version of adwcleaner (Version: 7.2.4.0 Build: 09-25-2018 Database: 2018-10-09.1 (Cloud)) and it detected three files under the heading PUP.Optional.Booking. All three seem to be the same file with the same destination in booking.com. They appear to be links in the favorites files for windows internet explorer/microsoft edge which I have maybe used three times. It did not detect these before I went to bed last night so I was wondering if this is indeed a false positive or if there is something to worry about. PUP.Optional.Booking C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\Favorites\Booking.com.url PUP.Optional.Booking C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\Favorites\Booking.com.url PUP.Optional.Booking C:\Users\Default\Favorites\Booking.com.url
  3. A second update, after seeing the bing items, I restored it and then looked at the registry again and it appears that the item detected has to do with the yahoo search function as it was full of events like search.yahoo.com/favicon.io
  4. As a bit of extra information: Upon searching through the registry, everything I can find related to searchscopes using the path shown on the notepad file seems to indicate it is about internet explorer's search defaulted to bing, which leads me more to thinking that this is a false positive, but would like some imput
  5. I have been using 7.2.0 for a while now and every scan I did while connected to the internet for the latest modules have come back with all clear. However, today I downloaded 7.2.2 and received a warning of P.Optional.Legacy HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{AA9A4890-4262-4441-8977-E2FFCBFB706C} which has never shown up in 7.2.0. I did place it into quarantine, but I was wondering if this is a new false positive or if I should be worried for any data I have entered while scanning using 7.2.0. It even didn't detect anythign last night and I have not downloaded or run any new programs since then
  6. I was doing my Adw scan this morning and it detected this file path HKLM\System\CurrentControlset\Services\DsSvc as being an adware.elex and I was wondering if this was a false positive like what happened a year ago or if somehow my DsSvc was replaced by actual adware
  7. Yes, it no longer detects it at all! Thank you very much!
  8. Ever since AdwCleaner updated to 7.1 I am constantly getting this item when I scan. PUP.Optional.Legacy HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce|Application Restart #1 I clean it and restart and the next scan shows it is gone, but then it re-appears when I boot my computer a second time. Is this a false positive like how it also has started detecting my VPN's Tcpip settings with every scan?
