  1. Oh ok, i'll try it with my other laptop thats running an old cracked version of windows 10 and see if that works
  2. Ok. I don't have access to another computer running a current version of windows at the moment but when I do and I can get the above instructions to work I'll update you also-- the redirect that happens to bing search when I try to google search something has stopped happening. I have no idea why, and I highly suspect its temporary, but I thought I'd let you know in case it means anything
  3. I can't get into the advanced options startup menu... I tried 3 different ways (Im on windows 10) by going into settings and clicking restart now from the recovery menu, by shift-clicking the restart button in the start menu, and by entering shutdown /r /o /f /t 00 into the run dialog and all three just restarted normally with a slightly longer waiting period during the shutting-down portion. I also tried creating a recovery drive to boot from, and got a clean USB and formatted it but windows says it encounters a problem when creating the recovery drive "We cant create the recovery drive" (with or without 'back up system files" checked) Im not sure what to do

  5. I'm having trouble getting rid of some virus that's redirecting all of my google searches to extension.citypage.today and then to a similar bing search. I've tested this with both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge so I believe it isn't browser specific. Regardless I've tried everything I can think of and nothing has gotten rid of it. While I've also tried a couple of other antiviruses, none of them (including Malwarebytes premium free trial) have helped. I downloaded and ran the FRST scan like asked and attached the files. I also attached my most recent Malwarebytes threat scan. It does say it detects several PUPs but I'm 99.9% sure those aren't related to the extension.citypage.today problem since they didn't show up until after (I think i downloaded some antivirus that wasn't 100% trustworthy in my frantic scramble to try to get rid of this virus- not the best decision, and malwarebytes is having trouble getting rid of that too, but I'll deal with it later as it isn't an immediate problem) threatscan.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
