  1. Everyone but me seems to know what MBAM stands for. Give me a clue please.
  2. Agreed. Seriously doubt your hardware is damaged CrapshackCo. Chin up.
  3. I am comforted to know I am not alone. I recommend always having two or more anti-virus products installed. Do you think Windows Defender is OK for a backup anti-virus? I recommend Trend Anti-Virus. There are different versions. I have Trend Micro Internet Security installed, as well as HitmanPro.Alert. So I uninstalled MB3 for now and am still protected.
  4. Terminating doesn't work -- It keeps coming back. I uninstalled MB3. Other previously installed anti-virus will keep me safe for now.
  5. This is why we should have more than one anti-virus product installed. I just uninstalled MB3 and will await news of fix. Thanks Rubberducky.
  6. I don't have time to re-install right now. I'll be back to check later. Thanks.
  7. Me too. (Never thought I would say that - lol) -- To be more specific, I had Malwarebytes suddenly hogging my memory and my HD (this can be seen in the Task Manager -- WIN8) so I was forced to uninstall. I too noticed MB telling me I was not protected from web-based threats and should turn on real-time protection. All attempts to do so failed. WTF?
  8. I am uninstalling Malwarebytes 3.3.0 or somesuch version -- It is hogging my computer and I can't get anything done. This has never happened before. Yesterday I had Bell Fibe internet installed, but can't think of any reason that would be a problem. Gaffer from Canada. Sorry if this is the wrong thread.
