  1. I had the EXACT same experience, where the update just hung, and then I used the Clean tool which removed Malwarebytes but refused to reinstall it, simply telling me it had cancelled the installation, and I had to download the setup file from the website to do a manual install. Many thanks to Stoo for informing me about the tiny mutant dialogue box that needed to be clicked on. Definitely not the best update experience for me either unfortunately!
  2. You may need to reboot your computer up to 3 times...(!) Hope that helps you?
  3. Solution is now available at https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/219996-important-web-blocking-ram-usage-issue/ and it works! The only issue I had was working out where I had to click to actually get the update (see annotated screen grab attached)! A couple of reboots and I can now use my computer again!
  4. https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/219918-ram-usage-what-is-going-on seems to indicate a LOT of people are having this problem which makes me feel a BIT better!
  5. I have malwarebytes premium and the real time protection won't turn on; Task Manager shows malwarebytes using a huge percentage of the system memory, and then the computer crashes. I am only an intermediate level computer user so please don't assume too much knowledge in what you ask me to do in your reply. Also be aware that as the PC keeps crashing I may not be able to do anything that takes a long time to obtain any data you may need. Please help, as this is making my computer unusable. I am running Windows 10 and have attached a screen shot of the system specifications.
