You may need to turn off Web Blocking - this is probably a DNS issues. The service cannot resolve the update server address.

Actually wrong reply - this issue appears to indicate that the Malwarebytes Service or Services are not running. Open Services.msc and look for MB services. Verify they running. If they are not - try starting them. If they don't start try reboot - if that fails try re-installing. This worked on one of my PC's

Service issue - open services.msc and verify MB services are running. If they are not - try starting them. If that doesn't work try a reboot. If that doesn't work try re-install.

Looks like they just released an update that has resolved the Malicious Site filter module, though no official word from MBAM support just yet. Was on problematic database version: v2018.01.27.06 and just updated to v2018.01.27.12. The site blocking notifications ceased. Note - running the Enterprise version of MBAM.

I just pulled down v2018.01.27.12 and I am not getting any web blocking notifications either. Memory leak seems to have been resolved also.

  4. Is anyone checking their firewall logs? I am seeing attacks on 1723 and 3389 from Malicious IP. Currently Malwarebytes Web Block (though malfunctioning) is able to identify and block these incoming attacks. The majority of the attacks I am seeing are coming from hosted service networks. According to the firewall logs and server logs these attacks started around the same time as the Malware update botch. Curious if anyone else is seeing an increase this type of traffic from other sources - this could just be a coincidence.

I am cautious not to disable any features in Malwarebytes for fear that something malicious gets through. Last thing I want to do is suspend Malwarebytes only to find that a coordinated attack was launched which Malwarebytes would have prevented - and spend my weekend restoring compromised servers from backups.

Holy stuff. My mom came into my room to bring me a plate of chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at her and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I’m so distressed right now I don’t know what to do. I didn’t mean to do that to my mom but I’m literally in shock from the events tonight. I feel like I’m going to explode. Why the censoreding censored is Malwarebytes eating up my ram? This can’t be happening. I’m having a censoreding breakdown. I don’t want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I want Malwarebytes  to be fixed and protect my computer again. I cannot censoreding deal with this right now. It wasn’t supposed to be like this, I thought Malwarebytes wasn't having any issues with memory leaks??? This is so censoreded.

Stress reviler...seriously good post in the midst of a crisis. Hoping we won't all be office camping when this over.

  6. We have relied on Malwarebytes for years and we will continue to be a loyal customer. I have been a professional IT Consultant for over 20 years and like most professionals in the industry I have come to appreciate the stability and reliability of Malwarebytes. It is the go to tool for many professionals. I can testify that Malwarebytes has protected my clients corporate systems from malicious attacks that would have crippled their ability to work. Ransomware has been rampant for a few years now - Malwarebytes was the only product during the first outbreaks of Ransomware that stopped the attacks. Other clients were running main stream Anti-Virus Security Suites - these did not stop the Ransomware from getting through. Complete systems were destroyed and had to be restored from backups.

So - while this is a serious blunder. We don't want to loose site of all of the things Malwarebytes has done for our industry.

With that said...PLEASE FIX THIS QUICKLY

  7. I have this version and it doesn't have the Web Blocker problem or Memory utilization issues the recent updates are having. All of my clients run Malwarebytes End Point Protection - I have a lot of support tickets open and I have fielding calls most of this morning regarding the current issues.

Appreciate the updates and good information.

This update is working great - I don't have my work PC automatically update anything. So that worked out in my favor this morning.
