  1. I woke up today to notice malwarebytes found about 25 detections -- all flagged as Backdoor.NanoCore with 24 being registry issues and one being /System32/MBPPCN64.DLL I'm pretty careful with my computer and on top of things, so it was a bit surprising to find so many detections. On top of that, Malwarebytes scans my computer daily and there hasn't been/is almost never any problems; and in the past couple days the only thing I've even downloaded was a program called shutdownblocker.exe (to stop OS and program-related auto shutdowns of my PC) and re-activated chrome remote desktop on
  2. Hi, I actually ended up doing that anyway and it indeed has started working again properly. Thanks for fast reply.
  3. Hi, I'm a premium user of the most recent malwarebytes version running on windows 10. Seemingly out of nowhere I started getting mbam.exe - bad image popup errors preventing malware bytes from opening. "VCRUNTIME140.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation or media.... Error status: 0xc000012f" Just wondering how I should proceed? So far I've restarted my computer which didn't change anything. I was going to uninstall and reinstall it, but figured I'd come here first.
  4. I just created account for this. Both FF and Chrome browsers crashed, malwarebytes starting sucking up 12GB of RAM and turned off its web protection capability.
