    Thank you for quick answer, Nathan. This is a Google Nexus 5x (currently on Android 8.1.0), which I've had for almost 3 years, but this has started happening recently. Could it still be preinstalled malware?

    Malware for Android, 3.1.0.11, Malware database 2018.01.18.01, Phishing database 2018.01.19.01 The adware from the title shows as threat notification, selecting and confirming removal does nothing. Why?
