  1. I've been monitoring the above mentioned issues over the past few days, and found out the following (though I don't know if it helps anything to fix the problem). When Malwarebytes Pro 3.0.5 doesn't properly load, then the FilterManager confirms at computer start up, that MBAMChameleon successfully loaded and registered, however the Malwarebytes Service never starts. The mbamtray.exe is listed in the processes in the task manager, MBAMService.exe of course not. There is no other way than to reboot the pc to make Malwarebytes work again. What I fail to understand is, that if the Malwarebytes service doesn't start, I'm never able to to view HTML5 videos online (Firefox and Chrome), because I get the error message that my browser doesn't support the file format. When Malwarebytes starts correctly, I have no problems with the same videos. I have reproduced this phenomenon many times, but I can't wrap my head around this correlation. When Malwarebytes starts up correctly, but hangs at "starting..." for the web protection module, I can usually fix it by terminating Malwarebytes and starting it again.
  2. As per instruction on how to post an issue: Description of the problem: The latest version of Malwarebytes 3 doesn't start up properly in about 30-40% when I start my desktop computer. When it starts up, very often the web protection module is turned off, and can't be started (hangs at "starting..."). Rarely, maybe every 10th time Malwarebytes works correctly (starting up and all protection enabled). I never had an issue with MBAM 2. Operating system: Windows 7 SP 1 x64. Antivirus: Avast Pro 12.3.2280 Service log, Farbar FRST and Addition attached. FRST.txt Addition.txt MBAMSERVICE.zip
  3. You appear to start Internet Explorer without add-ons. If you go to Start, and then type in the search field Internet Explorer what does show up? 4. Windows Live Essentials is a package of programs. Please see what programs are included: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-essentials It appears that you have it already (from your screenshot), I'm just not sure if it's version 2011 that you have.
  5. According to Microsoft Live support pages, the error message that you posted is typical if any older versions of Windows Live are installed. Make sure that you back up any information (emails, contacts) that you might lose through uninstalling.
  6. Do you have any older version of Windows Live products installed? If so, you need to uninstall all of them first.
  7. When you go to Start > All Programs, you should have there Internet Explorer (64 bit) and Internet Explorer. Choose Internet Explorer, which is the 32 bit version.
  8. lol Btw that reminded me of my cousin who as a young teenager bought an extra strong pepper spray at a shady place, and decided to test it on himself while I visited him...

  11. Welcome to the forums theold The extended download is a feature that Cleverbridge adds to each purchase of software as far as I know. What is important in the case of MBAM, is the license key. If you format your computer or have to re-install MBAM for any reason, you can just download the free version of MBAM, and register with your purchased license key.

  20. Welcome to the forums MilkMan Have you set the proper exclusions in your antivirus? The FAQ might be helpful: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=10138 If you have set the exclusions and it's still not working, please try the following: Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it. Let us know how it goes, thank you.
