Can't find or remove logineasier.com
adas replied to PeggyJ's topic in Malwarebytes for Mac Support Forum
Hi @PeggyJ, This is not due to malware. That site is able to send notifications, which would have that appearance. You would have been tricked into allowing that site to send you notifications at some point in the past. Refer to below article and change the notification settings for websites for Chrome https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3220216?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en For Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox For Safari https://support.apple.com/en-am/guide/safari/customize-website-notifications-sfri40734/mac Refer to blog on browser push notification > https://blog.malwarebytes.com/security-world/technology/2019/01/browser-push-notifications-feature-asking-abused/ -

Real Time Protection Won't turn on
adas replied to Pkeelty's topic in Malwarebytes for Mac Support Forum
Hi @DaBuffalo, Let us know more information about the MacOS version. Is it a final release 10.14.5 (18F132) or beta? There was an issue with the beta version, please refer: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/245698-issues-with-macos-10145-beta-2/ to allow an extension for real-time protection check from step 12 > https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2634 -
Hi @fredcreek, Have you encountered this issue on your Mac OS system? This space is specific to windows product. Please clear the Quarantine from Malwarebytes app and restart the system. Hope this helps.
-
Hi @fishless22, The extension gets back due to the sync feature of Chrome. Alvarnell instructions provided above should help to resolve the issue.
-
Hi @Summertime, We can turn off the sync feature on chrome refer to the below article on how to turn off sync function. https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/185277?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en-GB Then delete the extension manually open chrome click on setting / three dots > more tools > extensions OR type chrome://extensions/ in address bar delete the unwanted extensions After that run a scan and clear quarantine
-
@PaulBostock, The release history is available at https://support.malwarebytes.com/community/mac , under common topics.
-
Hi @geezer2005, We need to remove the extension manually if Mojave is your current OS. Open finder, choose to go to folder from Go menu and copy paste below path ~/Library/Safari/Extensions delete searchExt.safariextz and rescan the system. More information on remedy failed for Mojave Users https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/239276-rtprotectiondaemon-full-disk-access-on-mojave/?do=findComment&comment=1281018
-
Hi @Popeye, Yes, there is no beta version available for now. To install a stable/release version user needs to uninstall the beta by clicking on Malwarebytes help menu > uninstall Malwarebytes (Reboot recommended) the permalink for stable/release installer file is > https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3-mac

Hi @Tomari, Please avoid using third-party USB peripherals or screen sharing app while allowing extensions. Also, there is no need to unlock the lock pad, to perform this. Make sure you are on the right window under system preferences > security and privacy > General installation article > https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2634 refer to the article for RTP issue > https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2632 Please inform our support team if there is further assistance required https://support.malwarebytes.com/community/consumer/pages/contact-us
