    It updated since, so I'm not sure - but it repaired itself when I reinstalled. Thanks for responding.

    At startup, Malwarebytes real protection was off. I turned it on, but it stuck on "starting". Your forum suggested a tool to fix the program, followed by a restart. When I restarted after using the tool, Malwarebytes was gone from that computer. How can I get it back without paying for a new copy?
