I probably should have posted this here first, instead of replying to another similar problem post.
I was prompted by Malwarebytes to "upgrade" to the latest version. As soon as I did that, none of my Office 2007 (Yes, I know it's outdated) programs would even load. It also gave me problems with running Google Chrome. As soon as I uninstalled Malwarebytes, I was able to use Word & Excel again. I did NOT keep track of which version I had "upgraded" to, and I don't plan on reinstalling it at the present time because it installed a free trial of the Premium version, which I did not want.
