Hi, Porthos - Thank you so much for replying. I ran the installer as you suggested, then restarted my PC when prompted. Unfortunately, it looks like the installer removed Malwarebytes from my system, which is not usually what happens when I install software. :-) Any ideas? Thank you - r

Hi, folks - I'm running into two problems: 1) I'm getting repeated notifications that real-time protection is turned off, but when I try to enable it (Settings > Protection > Web Protection), it just says "Starting..." and never seems to actually start. 2) Recent threat scans take about 2 seconds and don't actually scan any files.
