  3. @Lever10 Thanks for reporting this. This looks like a bug. However, we'll investigate this. The reason this might be happening, google play application (even tho it is not logged in) might do some system calls which resembles an update. We had a similar case with couple of apps and we made a change for it. Which Malwarebytes version are you using? Thanks again, sorry for the inconvenience.

  7. @SurfingSailor was there a system update? in that case, number of apps may change. Do you mind sharing your android system information? and now, when you do subsequent scans, do you see the same number of apps scanned?

  12. @MAM Android 4.2.2 is not supported by any 3 versions. Unfortunately, your Android 4.2.2 will not get any app updates. Our updates are available for Android 4.4 and above.
  13. Hi @OriginalGenious This safe mode tutorial looks like a glitch. Basically that's displayed to user if user screen is blocked by a threat and a SMS command has been sent. There're also back up options in case user didn't set up SMS commands or user does not have connection etc. Those back methods are basically some key combination (like volume button up and down with a certain combination). There might be a false behaviour or false events triggered by Android system. What I would recommend at this point is to uninstall and re-install the application from the beginning and if you see

  22. Thanks @MitchHellman This is a very detailed report. Those files, on which app hangs, are .apk files or some sort of different files? If you can, would you mind sharing couple of screenshots when scan hangs? Thanks once again and sorry for inconvenience.
