  1. @MAXBAR1 we created defects for the reported problems. We are aiming to have an update beginning of May. We'd like to fix in coming release. We apologize for the inconvenience tho
  2. @Lever10 Thanks for reporting this. This looks like a bug. However, we'll investigate this. The reason this might be happening, google play application (even tho it is not logged in) might do some system calls which resembles an update. We had a similar case with couple of apps and we made a change for it. Which Malwarebytes version are you using? Thanks again, sorry for the inconvenience.
  3. @Fandango68 I see you already checked this post and thanks for your reply there. To better understand the problem, do you mind sharing some screenshot or screen recording with us?
  4. Thank you for the all information you shared. We are creating a defect report about this and will pass to development team. We highly appreciate your feedback. Thanks a lot.
  5. Thanks @MAXBAR1 reporting the issues. >1) consumes battery in a very intense mode (the system indicate that even if the specific reminder is not active); Do you mind sharing a screenshot of the battery usage, we'd like to understand how much our app consumes battery after a re-charge. Especially percentage wise. >2) every morning, when I turn on the smartphone, I have to reactivate the safe navigation protection that since about 5 days I find disabled. Do you use any battery or memory optimizer apps? Or does your Huawei kill applications if they are on the background? Do you see time to time "Malwarebytes stopped working" type of message? If so, can you recall how often does that happen? Thanks in advance, and sorry for the inconvenience.
  6. @SurfingSailor was there a system update? in that case, number of apps may change. Do you mind sharing your android system information? and now, when you do subsequent scans, do you see the same number of apps scanned?
  7. @MariuxReloaded I agree with you as well, I would like to have, at least for aggressive advertising, ad-blocking. Actually, we are actively looking into solutions about it. Nothing confirmed on the roadmap yet but we are evaluating couple of options. Thanks for your great feedback.
  8. @PaulsBoutique Sorry for the inconvenience. Would you mind sharing a screenshot? Which back up method (or software) do you use? Does it create a local back up to your SD card or it pulls to your computer?
  9. Hi All, That issue has been fixed. Please force update the database just in case. If issue continues, please clear the application data and re-open the app. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  10. @ingber unfortunately we do not have an ad-blocker inside our Android application. However, as Malwarebytes, we have a Firefox Plugin that can be installed for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/malwarebytes/
  11. @MAM Android 4.2.2 is not supported by any 3 versions. Unfortunately, your Android 4.2.2 will not get any app updates. Our updates are available for Android 4.4 and above.
  12. Hi @OriginalGenious This safe mode tutorial looks like a glitch. Basically that's displayed to user if user screen is blocked by a threat and a SMS command has been sent. There're also back up options in case user didn't set up SMS commands or user does not have connection etc. Those back methods are basically some key combination (like volume button up and down with a certain combination). There might be a false behaviour or false events triggered by Android system. What I would recommend at this point is to uninstall and re-install the application from the beginning and if you see the problem once again, I'd kindly ask you to reach us through our support channel with screenshot and report, so that we can try to understand the root cause of it. Sorry for inconvenience.
  13. Hi, If you are using a Chromebook, you can always download our free Chrome extension. It'll provide security against online threats. You can find our extension here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/malwarebytes-browser-exte/ihcjicgdanjaechkgeegckofjjedodee?hl=en And if your Chromebook has Google Play, then our Android application will work there without any problem. It'll provide security against threats for Android. Our Android application can be downloaded from here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware&hl=en You can find device list here: https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps
