I tried to install malwarebyte on one of my old smartphone.
After opening, the program hung at the "welcome to malwarebytes for android" and did not proceed further.
I suspect it is a compatibility issue as the old smartphone is likely running on an old OS.
I am not sure of the OS specs of the smartphone.
In the meantime, I downloaded AVG antivirus because I got a popup while surfing the internet of a fake "you got virus" ad). AVG ran well on the smartphone but I don't like it as it came with lots of ads. Thinking of uninstall it once I have the malwarebyte working.
Please advise.
