Hi, I have read several of these forum topics in hopes that they will solve my problem, but no luck so far. My computer has spyware which is preventing Malwarebytes from running. I renamed the installer file and was able to install Malwarebytes; however, renaming mbam.exe in the Program Files does not allow the program to run. A DOS window pops up when I try to run it... desot.exe pops up. I looked this up and found that it is a part of Windows AnitVirus Pro. I also see an icon for Windows Police Pro on my father's desktop... So, are these two spywares one and the same, or am I infected with both? I followed the directions here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=23983 but like I mentioned above, changing mbam.exe does not fix the problem. I also tried looking for a TSS.sys file in my Non-Plug and Play Drivers, but it isn't there. CdaC15BA and MCSTRM were there, which I thought may be the spyware. I disabled both and restarted the computer, but Malwarebytes still will not run. Can you help me?
