Uhhhh, that's so odd.... Have you checked recently jeromy? I had to reinstall my OS because that happened to me ... And then I stumbled upon a viruss that Malwarebytes never caught because part of the RTP daemon was somehow missing and dumping errors into the console. LOL... It was partally my fault though becausese I fogot to uninstall another scanner first so I'm okay with that... Even if it did take me an hour or two to recover my apps. ha..ha. :-/

I figured as such. . . I was just being kind :-P. Anyways, it's a jungle out there! Thank God Malwarebytes.

It's alarming to be a consumer of apps and run into a notice that one has been infected by a rogue application... Especially in the App Store. Can you explain why your application popped as a false positive, if and when you're removed from the Malwarebytes filter? It's sad to see good developers go punished, too. I'm just interested in the theory behind everyone's conclusions. Thanks! இڿڰۣ-ڰۣ—

You are able to turn the menu bar icon off within settings. Also, if you chose not to purchase the protection, you would then be simply "downgraded" to the on-demand version of the software. Customer comments are a great thing, though... I will just say that it would be nice to have a free, on demand stand-alone app. Anyways, I purchased my copy because even though I am a pro at computing, both Windows and Mac, this new malware seems to get by my scanners at the oddest times! It's just safer this way. :-)
